Dont worry Flatlander, Widdow's best weapon are insults when someone disagrees with his stance on a fighter.

Wlad fought a decent fight against a guy that shouldnt of never been in the ring with him in the first place, the same could be said for Ray Austin, who's claim to fame was his draw against Iggy a few years back.

I thought that it was rather obvious that Thompson was trying to lure Klitschko into attacking him while on the ropes. He was trying to set up the type of punch that Corrie Sanders landed coming off of the ropes that began Wlad's downfall in that fight. I think that Wlad was pretty smart not to fall into that trap. Later in the fight, he knew that he had Thompson broken down to a point where Thompson really wasn't a threat.

You have admitted in the past that you have NEVER SEEN MICHAEL SPINKS FIGHT!!!:rofl Yet, you are even in the age group that would have seen him live as you were an adult... and you pretend like you have been following this sport for a long time.

Good fight by Wlad, Thompson was in the fight despite losing until the 7th round, then eveything went downhill for him. Thompson was able to land some clean shots but it was mostly Klitschko all night. Wladimir should fight Valuev next, with the WBA Super Champion thing, Valuev should be able to avoid the mandatory and unify against Wlad while Ruiz fights someone for the regular belt.

Vlad is the best heavyweight in the world today, and he was also the best amateur in the world back in 1996.

Yes, and Islam Timurziev is the best amateur 91+ now. Is that supposed to mean something?

Vlad looked pretty good last night. I was looking for him to show some signs of fatique but he never did. Thompson was the fighter that was not in very good shape. Vlad leaning on him in clinches wore his legs out. He was bascially done by the 6th and looking for the door when that right hand thumped off of his skull. I overrated Thompson a bit but I gave him little chance to win. My old basketball coach told me that your weaknesses are magnified as you step up in competition. Vlad seems to make pretty decent fighters look awfully bad. It was'nt pretty but I scratched Vlad down as winning every round before the one punch KO. Long arms and a high guard will make it tough to get a guy out of there. I really enjoyed the fight.
