At least those guys are his peers and are getting paid. I don't understand why the HW champ would take pride in smashing some poor kids dreams and possibly ruining him as a fighter.

You find it amusing that a kid would have to be thrown in there with the champ, with no headgear, and get his brains beat in?

Hahaha! Exactly. 40 year old Wladimir winning the whole thing by knockout in each one of his fights. Doing it in style! When was the last time a 40 year old won gold?? That would be badass. It's boxing at the Olympic level. If you're too green and young, then try anyway and tell your grandkids how one of the most dominate champs put you down and out in the summer of 2016:good

WSB in 2010, APB in 2013. Amateur boxing doesn't exist anymore, it's called AIBA Open Boxing.

OK. Can you now give me a list of fighters who fought for the APB and WSB and who are currently training for the next Olympics?

I wouldn't be surprised to see the now-27 year old Medzhidov do this exact same thing to Wlad (The opponent here is 6'8 24 year old Dychko):

You clowns are uneducated on the Olympic game, I'd love to see Wlad get in the mix just so the ignorant can understand the level that these guys are operating on.

Ahh... all of them if they're good enough. You can qualify for the Olympics through the WSB now. Are you from the US? Raushee ****** competed in the WSB before he went on to fail at London (again). All it takes is a google search to give yourself some elementary knowledge on what you're talking about:

"While competing for the Los Angeles Matadors in the World Series of Boxing, ****** secured a Bronze in the US nationals in 2009, gold in 2010, and in 2011 a bronze at the Worlds. A gold medal in the 2011 individual competition (they also compete for team titles) at the WSB secured champions in 5 WSB weight classes the first Olympic slots, so participation in WSB saw ******'s first near miss at qualifying (only top 2 ranked boxers after team competition selected for individual title fight). ****** won the 2011 US Olympic Trials and came home with the Bronze after the 2011 AIBA World Championships, securing his place in a 3rd Olympics, unprecedented for an American boxer, at only 25 years old."

5 rounds in WSB, 3 in AIBA open, 12 in APB.

Matteo Modungo had already had 13 pro bouts (13-0, 7Ko's) including a 10 round UD before facing Usyk in the WSB:

I don't understand why people like you don't educate yourself a bit before talking, then I wouldn't have to provide you an education.

Comparing something like this to Wlad fighting in the Olympics again is like comparing a local boing league champion to the best bowler in the world. I just had a friend who was a professional pool player and regional champ play Earl Strickland in an open tournament and got smoked 9-0. There is a reason the best should only be going against the best. If Wlad fights in the Olympics again it will be a disgrace. End of story.

I'm not comparing the two, I'm just showing that there is a precedent, it's happened before and as you can see from the video class prevails (regardless of 'pro' experience). If Wlad fights in the Olympics then good luck to him, he'll need it.
