Yeah, and the likes of Felix Savon probably could of had a successful pro debut against a top 20 heavyweight at any point of the 90s/early 2000s..... I'm not particularly in favor of pro boxers fighting in the Olympics, but the Olympics has lots of professional athletes v.s amateur these days, wouldn't make a difference. Also think of it this way, if any amateur were to beat Wlad can you imagine what that would for his career? Chagaev beat a much more experienced Savon when he was young... It's not impossible.

The Olympics stopped being about amateur sport a long time ago. It's about a blank check being written for construction projects that would never come to fruition on their own merit. It's about ignoring a city's problems like homelessness etc... and spending money on a publicity stunt, **** that's not needed and in many cases not wanted by the locals. Unfortunately amateur athletes are just pawns in this game. I'd be happier than a pig in **** if the olympics were never held in my country again. I think we just finished paying for the 76 olympics. If we're in the black then hey, lets think about having an olympics, but when your in debt and running a deficit then the Olympics is a luxury your country can't afford. And might as well open all sports to all competitors. Teach those 15 year olds right away that life isn't fair.
