WLAD or ViTKLiT...who do you want to lose, get injured, or GTFO of the way...???

Until October 11th in Berlin, achieving the lofty goal of unified and undisputed champion of the World has been the dream of every fighter competing at the most elite of levels.

Now however, we enter a new era where a portion of the title is good enough....or is it...???

With ViTKLiT's effective smashing of Sam Peter out of the title picture, only one major HW title remains out of KLITschko's hands. The man who holds that title Nicolai Valuev, is considered anything but a peoples champion...and ViTKLiT has alluded to the fact that the giant may be his next target.

Should that happen, the HW will be co-ruled by two men who have no desire to prove who is best, due to the fact that they are siblings.

History was made on October 11th, but making history and reviving HW boxing are two different things...and their achievement may have entered HW boxing into an even more dismal state than it had seen previously.

I believe just as there is only room in a division for one true champion, that in this era of boxing there is only room for one KLITschko. Should either brother rise above the other and lock down the entire division, the public will have a real champion again.

  2. Sam Peter proved to be garbage against big fighters. I actually enjoy watching Wladimir fight. On the other hand, Vitaly just has a boxing style that I can't stand. Plus his face gets on my nerves

It would give us 2 legit champs instead of 3 or 4 so I have no problem with it.

In this day and age a unified Heavyweight Champion is a pipe dream anyway.

Look at it this way Suge, if Valuev were to win he could fight Wlad for all the marbles or Povetkin.

I do not think that will happen though. :good

I like seeing two brothers rule the division. It is a nice change of pace plus they are nice guys who let teir fists do the talking in the ring.

IMO, 1 of the brothers will go after the WBA title (and win). They will have all 4 belts and at that time, Vitali will retire thus vacating the belt or belts he has which would allow Wlad to continue his dream of total unification.

Why is there any issue with 2 Men ruling the division for now...It's obvious VK won't be around forever and in the mean time their fights are entertaining and there is no denying that a fight involving either brother gets more attention (esp on this site) than any other heavyweights

    they are good for boxing

that's why i hope wlad gets valuev. once vitali retires, all he has to get is 1 then. let vitali dispose of the British loudmouth.

who cares what haye wants. he's not the champ. it's better for the divsion if wlad has more belts. he's the one who will be here awhile. haye can fight vitali in london and retire with a concussion and a nice payday

As far as time. Wlad has a better chance of getting it done. After the Thompson fight (wbo) he has 24 months before the next Mand. After he beats Povetkin, (ibf) he has 11 months for that. Basically, Wlad has ALL of 2009 to make a charge at Valuev and or Chagaev.

We know Vitali will have a mand at some point in 2009.

    We will see

As a huge fan of both definitely none. Why would anyone wish for them to leave when they're bringing the best fights in the division?, only a few days ago discussions were all over thanks to a fight one of them brought and with Wladimir/Povetkin and Wladimir/Haye there's a lot more to discuss whoever they fight. The division is doing great thanks to them.

BS. They have cemented the fact that there is no champion.
