What makes people say Wlad is athletic?

 

I think Wlad is the most athletic big man we have ever seen, I could imagine him being a good all rounder in other sports. His footwork was one of the best for a guy his size.

I remember Roach saying something about Wlad being a great athlete but not a natural fighter and I agree with that. Where as say Lennox we have a guy who is regardless of what people say a natural fighter but not a guy I could envision successful in any other sport than boxing.

One would think that a more active and utilized uppercut would benefit Vlad against a taller fighter

Ron Lyle was the same height.

Most of his opponents were a good 3 inches shorter than him.

And arm length? Ali had a reach advantage on every opponent he fought.

He sure did! When posting as sweetsciguru. He made fun of Abdusalamov being in a medically induced coma. Lord knows I am no Angel and I have open issues with fighters and posters on here but I would never laugh at any medical misfortune any of them are confronted with.
