No heavyweight is p4p material in the traditional sense lol. Give Manny Pacquiao of the Barrera fight the dimensions of a heavyweight but he retains his speed, athleticism, elusiveness etc. it would be ridiculous. No heavyweight ever could compete.

P4P is better when you take it just as simply the most impressive fighters in boxing respective of their weight class

True but Grant was a hype job and Lewis v Akinwande was one of the worst fights I've ever seen.

Also detractors of Wlad always seem to ignore the fact he beat quite easily 6'6 Jameel McCline, who remember was coming off a TKO r1 over the same Michael Grant and a complete shut out of Briggs, 2 fighters who alot of people claim would of given Wlad hell.

in which year did he dominate?

I think it happened towards the last 2 years of his reign, after having beaten Haye and arguably running up to Pov (albeit he lost it by DQ). These are the only two guys who would have landed legit title shots in other serious HW title reigns.

But theres no way that someone who relied on another guy to fights fights for him and never fought that other guy, is dominating that long. More like when Vits was no longer capable of protecting him.

Very good post.spot on Vlad did what he did over and over again and it worked but his lack of versatility and imagination will allways be a limiting factor.vlad is a very popular bloke on this forum and fury is very unpopular as he is a nutter but Vlad will do no better in the rematch fury has his number and that is it.

This. Certain people ALWAYS are reaching for ways to try and discredit him. Olympic Gold, 10 year reign, one of the best jabs and straight rights in history. Deal with it ;)

Agree with all of this! Add in the fearful temperament and there's just no way this dude is an ATG. I know some vehemently disagree but all of these flaws are painfully obvious and they have been FOREVER

I chalk it up to Lil Bro growing up in the shadow of Big Bro, maybe he should have done something else besides boxing

I think his longevity and also the lack of P4P competition warranted a P4P for him prior to the Fury loss but I also do think he relied more on his size to win fights than his fans led us to believe. Fury is certainly very good but it felt like the fact Wlad couldn't outreach and/or overpower him like any of the 6'3 midgets he usually fought took away almost all of his dominance.
