Peter's punches weren't legal just as proven in your avatar. Brewster & Sanders are better than Peter IMO.
You may be right but still, Valuev is generally ranked at around #5 or 6. Liakhovich should be able to beat Valuev but should've been able to beat Briggs. He was well on his way when he got caught too. I look forward to that fight to tell you the truth.
:good Manny had Wlad fight a stupid and cautious fight. I was surprised though, to see Sam get through in the 10th round, and knock Wlad down.
That was the only knockdown I thought Peter should of been warned about, it looked to me like he was frustrated from Wlads excessive clinching and pushed him off and pounded him to the ground. Most websites and Magazines have Peter at 2 or 3 just behind Wlad and Chagaev, and after he destroys Maskaev he will be in everyones 2 spot, even yours RUSKULL.:yep
I've monitored your posts for the last eighteen months or so. You have a bias IMO. You train/trained Friday Ahunanya and yelled his praises all over E.S.B. for months prior to the Povetkin fight. Noway could A.P. compete with the magnificent Friday and Sasha gets exposed!! Povetkin slaughters your boy and you are justifiably humbled for a few short months. Now you are back screaming rubbish that yet another African superman in Peter defeats Wlad in a rematch. Wlad whips Peter the second time even worse than the first and you will be humbled yet again but I got alot of respect for you. Because you train fighters and your posts NEVER contain any profanity. Just stop underestimating Eastern European heavyweight fighters. They are unspoiled, train like demons and fight to win.
Not to mention, Peter could train his ass off, he just isn't physically or mentally in Wlad's league. I'm still amazed how many people are so impressed with the guy just because he can punch. He's improved probably as much as he's going to, and still isn't what I'd consider "good". Wlad, meanwhile, is turning into something special and frightening at the same time. Except for his overhyped vulnerability and Peter's overrated punch, there isn't very much room at all to pick Peter in a rematch.
Wlad has improved since the first fight, great footwalk etc. Wlad will win by TKO in the later rounds. The onyl boxer, who must have disqualified in the 5th was Samuel Peter for the rabbit punches he throw the whole fight.
I agree with your statement that Wlad is evolving into something "special and frightening." Most posters on this website don't seem to realize we are in the presence of greatness. Wlad can box like a middleweight, punch like George Foreman and under Steward's tutelidge is becoming a defensive genius. He will brutalize the competition in the next few years. His only fault is that he is NOT AMERICAN.
I had a similar dream. I actually found the best real world representation of it, too. This content is protected
Wlad tried to hurt Peter with straight right hands, Peter has such a short neck that he can take those all night long. Now that McCline has shown how vulnerable Peter is to hooks and uppercuts, Wlad would prepare to use these shots. Peter doesn't have Sander's footspeed and reach to chase Wlad in case he hurts him. Wlad's chin is mortal, but he was never taken out with one punch. I also believe that a fighter who constantly believes his own hype like Peter really suffers in his performance. He doesn't have the humility to acknowledge where he is in his development, he still believes he is a ferocious power puncher. If a loser of a fight is supposed to win the rematch, the first thing he has to acknowledge is that he actually lost, which Peter disputes. If you think that getting away with rabbit punches to the neck is the same as scoring knockdowns that should have won you the fight, you don't have the right mindset to win the rematch. Wlad by KO in 7 - 9 rounds.
If Peter beats Oleg, then my dream-come-true fight should follow: Vitali! You will see a classic beat down ala Sanders, but Pete will end up on his ass, and counted out. So much for the "nigerian wet dream". God, please make this happen:stir
Klitschko on the rise peter on the decline. I don't believe Peter gets by Maskeav. How old is Peter anyway? No way he's 26 or whatever he claims.
Wlad just looks good because he's in a weak division, if Wlads prime was in the 90s, his chin would be exposed more than Paris Hiltons *****. Wlad is a good puncher, with a glass chin, nothing special. He will never be considered a great because he never fought great, simple as that. His best wins are Chris Bryd and Sam Peter, not even hall of fame material. He's not even been champ for 2 years, if he stays champ for another 5 years in this extremely weak division, then I will give him the props he deserves.
Wladimir wins olympic gold at superheavyweight 1996, he was European Champion and WBO World Champion and now IBF/IBO World Champion. Wlad wins the WBO belt at the age of 24!!! He makes 5 succesful defences (including TKO Jameel McCline, who dropes Peter 3 times) of the title and now since two years he is the IBF/IBO World Champion with three defences including his mandatory.
