Are you serious do you also not know how to read? He clearly said LACKING, not lacked. Lacking refers to present tense, meaning that it's a present day problem and insinuating that it has happened before. If he would've said LACKED like you falsely accused him of doing so then that would be different, but he did not.
Although you are right in saying that Wlad does not like to be pressured, but telling me he only lost by 3 points isn't fooling anyone. Subtract those two false knockdowns which happened due to punches behind the head and Klitschko already is up ahead by 5 points. Then subtract the bias scoring for peter in round 3 for that single punch he landed toward the end of the round after Klitschko jabbed him for 2 minutes and 50 seconds and you have a 6 point Klitschko lead. 117-111 is what the scorecard shouldve read, at the very worst 116-112, but this goes to show you that referees do make a difference.
I have been writing, obviously I DO know how to read. What I don't do is try to presume exactly what someone meant. Posts here are always taken piecemeal and interpretted any fashion what so ever. Maybe if YOU can read, you'll explain why you take Pharaoh's desciption of Wlad using his jab all night, and not being versitile, and why you assume that means he thinks Wlad has NEVER been versitile in ANY FIGHTS. He wasn't being cryptic. You just took different posts he made and tried to put them together. Yo gave it the meaning it looks to have now. And lets be honest, Wlad is NOT the most versitile fighter. He has three REALLY good punches: Right cross Left Jab LEft hook And he uses those three more then anything else. Last night, two of those weren't used very much.
I will not explain to you how logical thought process works. A fighter can show that he is lacking versatility in a fight without being a fighter who lacks versatility in general. These are not mutually exclusive.
What it would be to me has no effect on what it was to Klitschko, it wasn't me in that ring was it? He came in there to win and unify, and did so with scores of 119-111, 118-111, he didn't go in their hoping to impress Lance_Uppercut by throwing his right more, he came their to win and thats what he did. I would've enjoyed seeing him unload with his arsenal more often, but being at the fight live was exciting enough for me.
Yes, but we also must factor in the couple points Wlad should lose for excessively clinching during that fight, which he did over 95 times in that fight. If you also watch closely like I have, Wlad put his head down and turned his back giving Peter no choice, but to hit him behind the head. I thought the ref should of gave Wlad a standing 8 for turning his back to his oppenent, and asked if he wanted to continue. I know when I boxed, if a man turned his back to you, you were allowed to keep punching until the ref stepped in or your oppenent fell. I thought both men used rough house tactics to get the upper hand, but in the end Wlad was able to bounce back from the knockdowns and out box Peter to a pretty close decision. I think saying Peter gave Wlad fits in that fight, mostly from the pressure he imposed on Wlad during the fight, it's match that I would love to see again.
You're not answering anything. But you know that. I never said he had to impress me. I said he was Smart for fighting how he did. But, and this has been said my many, there was no real reason for him to be as overly cautious as he was. He was facing a good HW with decent power. A HW who couldn't even land a simple jab effectively. WHO relied on a looping overhand right to try and hurt Wlad. If you can't see that Wlad could have ended it early simply by doing what he has done before, then you need to wath him more closley.
If thats the case then you should've said Wladimir lacked versatility in his last fight against Sultan because he only threw the jab, instead of saying well since Wlad only threw the jab this shows that he is lacking in versatility. atsch You are clearly wrong in this matter and what is worse is that you are trying to defend your statement. Your intentions might've been to say what I corrected you on saying, but you did not, you worded your statement wrong for God knows what reason and therefore I interpreted it the way it was written.
lol atsch Peter did a great job of pressuring Wlad, and I would love to see the rematch, I believe Peters chin is suspect and with the right array of punches he is going down.
Wlad had a "Winky-Wright" like performance, which in Madison Square Garden, in the biggest fight of his career and against an opponent who really couldn't hurt, was not in his best interest. I don't think Wlad made any new fans Saturday night, he have lost a few skeptical fans who were starting to warm to him. I am a fan of Klitschko but this was probably the most boring performance I have seen him in since he fought McCline more than 5 years ago.
Dude...I understood what he said. It wasn't a mystery what he said. And the fact that he was talking about Wlad using his jab all night SHOULD indicate which fight he was talking about. You jumped the gun on an over defensive fashion going on your assumption rather then what was clearly posted. atsch Sad...
He could've and I myself thought the fight would've been over much earlier had he started using his right hand from the get go. The conclusion here is that we all know Wlad is versatile and has the ability to throw an array of punches. In this fight it didn't happen because he was over cautious and did what he thought he had to do in order to win, whether we thought he could've threw more right hands or left hooks is irrelevant. It was Wladimir in that ring using his own judgment, and the way he looked at it was do what I have to do in order to win and minimize the risk, he apologized for his lack action in the post fight interview and basically told us he did what he had to do to win and will look better next time. And he did have moments in rounds 8 and 9 where he launched his right hand and actually threw a combo which struck Sultan and should've been ruled a knockdown, when he hit the ropes.
Left hook had Peter on ***** street in round 12. So yes you are correct a lead in left hook or left hook off the jab, or if he learned to utilize his uppercut then Peter might have a short night.
