Exactly. When he was agressive, he hit Sultan easy, and should have gotten a KD for that. That only emphasizes my position. Wlad fought over cautious against an opponent where there was no need to. And the end result is a dull fight which just happned to be the first unification bout in years.
its not even complicated. What i'm saying is that what Wlad was showing by using only the jab during that fight, even though there were openings for various other things, is that he was lacking versatility. I know Wlad can throw more punches, because i have seen his other fights, but thats what he showed in THAT fight. That might not be what he showed in all his other fights, but unless i am wrong, the topic of the thread is his performance against Ibragimov. So your reply about how Wlad showed versatility against Byrd and Brewster and all his other fights is off topic. I hope this ends this discussion.
And yet against a much smaller guy who's not as powerful as Peter, he did nothing like that. It's one thing to fight cautious when it's necessary, but another when it's against a fighters who's totally over matched.
Which is most people's points. Not to hate on Wlad but you point out the actuality of what happened. He had no reason to be cautious and when he opened up, it only proved this more, which frustrated fans more who were wondering why he wasn't doing this in the first place.
Look drama queen, you AREN'T right. You clearly misinterpretted what pharaoh said, even after he's explained himself. You're just too stubborn to admit your wrong. Be a ****in MAN and just admit it.
What are you going to do hate on this man forever because he had one cautious fight that hasn't happened since he fought Mc'Cline? Who cares, honestly, we all know what Wlad is capable of doing, and all of you should realize that the man did not want to take any risks at all at a quick southpaw counter puncher. He pitched a greater shutout against Sultan then he did Peter, so therefore he did something right. After his next fight you will completely forget about the Sultan fight, and find something new to hate on him for. What are you some kind of hate monger? Do you wake up everyday with the intent of discrediting Wladimir Klitschko and most likely his brother? Or are you not satisfied that he is the best division has to offer, and if he were to leave then boxing ratings would drop heavily concerning heavyweight boxing? Or do you not like the fact that he is the only one attempting to unify? Or does it bother you that his last 6 opponents all have been top 10 contenders? What is it that leads you to discredit such a great ambassador of the sport?
This sort of reminds me of Holyfield in the first Lewis fight. I was yelling and irritated at Holy, screaming to throw more. Of course, I wasn't there to take the punches. But to put it more simple, when you cannot get close enough throw or land effectivly due to the other guys size or jab or whatever, it's different when you choose not to throw more DESPITE have great success already with the few punches thrown.
Listen you really need to get an education, and before calling me a drama queen what was your intentions of stepping into an argument that had nothing to do with you? Look up the definition of hypocrite before you start calling me names. There is one way of interpreting "you can see it as unimpressive because he used just one punch, which shows that he is lacking versatility." YOu have to be a moron to interpret any other way that its written, as you attempted to do by claiming he said LACKED in capital letters. You had the nerve to tell me he said LACKED in capitalized letters when he clearly said LACKING. This is an elementary argument which I feel im having against a 10 year old. Im sorry I am not going to go any further into this, you need to get some help with your reading skills.
Oh, I'm hating on Wlad now? I'm discredting him by saying he COULD have ended it sooner? That he put on a dull, safety first performance? Nothing you posted here has anything to do with me. Why would it bother me he beat 6 top contenders? I like wlad. I've enjoyed many of his fights for years. Just not last nights. Why are you taking this so personal? And yes, you are.
Dude...he was talking about last night's fight where Wlad didn't show much versatility. But do you think Wlad had shown a lot of versatility in his punches last night? Since you are arguing ths so strenuously, you must think Wlad was versatile in his punch selection. Is that what you are saying? Quit being so dense kid. atsch
