I don't care what network gets it, just as long as it's shown LIVE, none of that tape delay crap.

HBO has shown a number of Klitschko fights over the years, and this is one of the bigger ones, so no surpsise they are interested.

Showtime doesn't do many heavyweight fights and has done very few Klitschko fights. I wonder if they are interested simply because this is a big fight or are they interested in seeing Wlad against one or both of the GBP heavyweights-Mitchell and Wilder.

Probably the later for Showtime if they make a good bid they can get their foot in the door for a Klitschko vs Mitchell/Wilder fight.

HBO wants to show a future Wlad vs Jennings fight so I am assuming either HBO or Showtime will offer a 2 fight deal with Wlad to help secure the bid.

Would not be shocked if Showtime wins this........HBO does have more money to burn for the rest of the year though than Showtime has.

Live would be around 2pm eastern in the US, assuming a 10pm time in Moscow....I'm afraid if HBO or Showtime gets it, probably going to be tape delay no matter the network (unless EPIX were to get it)...that would be my guess (hopefully I'm wrong).

I agree. I wouldn't be shocked if Showtime wins this and with the aim of matching Wlad with Mitchell or Wilder. Actually, a Wilder-Mitchell match with the winner to get a shot at Wlad isn't a bad idea.

HBO has been interested in a Wlad-Jennings fight and if they do get Wlad-Povetkin we probably see Jennings on HBO this fall. Jennings against someone like Adamek or Arreola would be interesting.

Wlad by KO, anywhere from rounds 6-9.

Even though they don't fight the same style, I see something similar in terms of outcome to Wlad-Bryd II.

HBO only wanted to show Wlad/Jennings as a warm up for Mayweather/ Guerrero. They have no interest buying that as a main header. Most people dont even know what Jennings looks like...They will pick up the fight with Povekttin and then drop him. Same as they did with Haye. Like Haye , Povektin is the draw, not Wlad.

They didn't like any of the match ups. Three of which were against foreign opponents that no one in the States had ever seen. And I bet if Thompson was coming off his 2 wins over Price at the time, HBO would have had a lot more interest in that rematch.... Same as how HBO let Pacquiao fight off their network, and on Showtime for the 1st time in years, after he chose to fight Mosely; who himself was at least a well known American name, and HOFer. Sometimes **** just doesn't happen.

How many times has Wlad been on HBO?? Vs. the combined times Haye and Povetkin been on HBO? Hmmmmmmmmmm

No **** they didn't like the fights. They were a disgrace. And the way he fought them was even worse. He couldn't even beat a walking barrell like Mormek with clean boxing. Thats why HBO want no part of him. Also he brings no odds and is worthless in a Vagas boxing rring.
