I usually go in to a Wvlad fight not expecting too much, so I`m never really disappointed when he has a dull fight. last night I was very disappointed. All three men in the ring let me down as a fan.

Alexander deserves the least hate I guess. he tried to win, he just didn`t try to do it any other way than rushing in with his head down. he has to be forgiven, he needed to fight on the inside to have a shot. his left hook looked decent at times during the fight.

I`m sick of watching refs stand by while wvlad leans on his opponents. One deducted point at the end of a fight full of pushing, leaning on the neck, pushing down on the guys neck isnt going to dissuade these dirty tactics. sathat fight was more bull**** than boxing and that ref should be reprimanded.

As for Wvlad, it is just such a shame to watch a highly skilled brilliant offensive puncher clinch for twelve rounds instead of fighting. I know his style protects his chin and he does what he has to do to win. My problem with it is that he breaking, bending, and ****ing the rules and the sport to do it.

If you want to have Chin Talk I will be glad to oblige in another thread. Now, how about starting over and actually responding to my two posts you quoted. The same guy trained Lennox and Wlad. They fight the same way. Lampley even mentioned Lennox holding behind the head and clinching during the fight yesterday.

When will idiots like you realize the way to beat a Lennox or Wlad isn't using the 'Mike Tyson' style (it is a joke to even call it that as that style was used in the '30's and 40's well before Tyson was even a thought)

Nobody beat Lennox using it and nobody beat Wlad using it. Or even Vitali. The way to beat all 3 was to show ZERO respect for them and go right at them and get rough. It is how McCall and Rahman Chinned Lewis it is how Sanders and Brewster beat Wlad and it is how Lennox beat Vitali by getting rough and slugging with him not trying to 'get inside'. It simply doesn't work and is one of the biggest myths ever perpetuated by people that don't know Boxing. The LAST thing I want to do with Lennox or Wlad is 'get inside' because I am going to get clinched, leaned on, held, and exhausted very quick.

OK just watched the fight and Povetkin was coming in throwing punches and EVERY SINGLE TIME he got close to Wlad were he could land, Wlad put him in head lock, pushed his head down, leaned on his back and dug his elbow into his neck in a cynical, disgusting attempt to injure Povetkin. He actually did this more than he landed punches, it is cheating and the result should have been a DQ victory for Povetkin.

Mormeck used the same way to get inside, maybe next time Wlad hires him as a sparring partner, because I think we'll see this more often from this type of fighters. It's just as much a form of playing it safe as what Wlad does.

You ever watched Lennox Lewis vs Tua and Tyson? Should Tua and Tyson have been awarded DQ victories?

"clinched, leaned on, held, and exhausted" - These things are against the rules of boxing. They are being done up to 20 times a round against very weak opposition. The sole purpose is to
    This content is protected
of a man who has been KO'd 3 times by poor opposition.

The idea that you are defending this means you have no integrity at all. You make your name based on chin talk, yet you have no problem with a man who

    .

You have no respect for boxing and clearly no respect for the idea of a solid chin. You're a fool.

Those fights are nothing compared to the Povetkin fight, Wlad clinched more than he punched FFS, Povetkin was illegally mauled, not out boxed, that performance from Wlad was not boxing.

I am willing to bet there was as many clinches in the 8 rounds of the Lennox/Tyson fight as there was yesterday. And yes Povetkin was mauled and thrown around and got his face destroyed. What do you expect in a fight? :rofl:patsch

And a few times Wlad feinted himself to set up a clinch instead of a punch:lol:

you still have no answer for the post. It was being done long before Wlad was champion you just want to ignore it for some bizarre reason. :|

No chance were there just as many.

and yes Povetkin was mauled and thrown around and got his face destroyed, but that is what I'd expect to happen between two drunks fighting outside a nightclub, not a boxing match for the Heavyweight championship of the World.

There was a great CompuClinch youtube video on the Lewis-Tyson fight there were an abnormal amount of clinches. It was a clinch fest but I guess since Tyson was involved people are willing to ignore it.

    It was disgusting.

As a K2 fan I was embarrassed. I am embarrassed.

But just as I was happy to take my $500 win in the Lewis v Tyson fight, disgusted by the guy I took, I am happy to take my $50 bucks I picked up on this one.:D
