I'm passing regardless. The last fight I saw of Wlad was Povetkin and it dies right there for me. Only sticking to highlights.
The mediocre hype surrounding this fight has died a little for me after this weekend's highlight of the year. But, I'm glad it's on HBO and even if it's "the real Wlad" vs "a poor man's Wlad" it is a good thing. Champ vs #1. Only just like the Kova vs B-Hop fight, here's hoping that it isn't boring, because it might be. Two guys from who the jab is the main weapon jabbing away towards a clear decision in Wlad's favor or hopefully ends early after Wlad lands a right hand. Not to worried about clinching in this bout, because both are big, outside fighters (lifesize heavyweights).
Gonna be Holmes vs Cooney all over again Except Wlad's R hand is 10X< Holmes, and Pulev's chin is 10X< Cooneys I do expect fairly even rds, but obviously the Champ gonna land the more meaningful shots, though I would argue that Pulevs jab is = Wlad's hook off the jab, and we could see a flash KD or two before Wlad starts finding a home for the R hand and puts Pulev down and out.:think:think:think
Interesting thought and I kinda agree with the comparison. One thing to watch is if Pulev gets cut around his eyes early in the fight.
Well it's the best heavyweight in the world taking on the best challenger he could possibly take on, if you can't get excited about that then this might not be the sport for you.
