Agreed. Chambers refused to get clinched and leand on all the time (at least in the begining). He showed some fighting spirit there (in the begining), and I liked that.

Not knocking him, but at 2:51, notice how Wlad falls in and then leans on Eddie's back. He did that even though he had just stunned Chambers.

If you watch that exchange all the way up until the ref breaks the fighters up, you will see that Wladimir is actually trying to push Eddie down to the canvas. He leans his whole body weight down on him. Steward taught him that, and it was probably a part of their general fight plan from the beginning.

Manny likes fighting smaller guys and exploiting the size/weight advantage. Eddie basically tried to send a message that that wasn't going to work. But Wlad was still too big (and too good).

Very valid points. I can't completely argue with that, but if a few pick up and slams, may be less draining than 12 rounds of a big guy leaning on you. (Ii also helps get in the ref's head, that this guy is holding too much) I agree that Wlad is too cool for it to work, but he has shown to get a bit flustered when confronted... in general, against a huggy-bear like Wlad, it's worthy try. Might pay off, might not. In this case it certainly did not!
