Can anyone explain the logic behind that? I've heard a few fans say it. Briggs said Vitali punches harder than anyone he ever fought and they hurt more. Danny Williams said Tyson punches harder than Vitali but Vitali's punches produce a sickening pain. Is it just sheer accumulation? I thought someone with a harder punch would hurt you more? Therefore how can someone with a softer one punch power hurt you more?
Briggs said Vitali punches harder over 12 rounds, not harder than anyone fullstop, as obviously Lewis knocked him out in 5 I would say Wlad has more power, but Vitali is naturally more heavy handed Vitali throws slower, thudding shots, Wlad throws quicker, snappier shots For instance on a scale of let's say 1-20 of power Wlads hardest shot is probably 18 or 19, but he will generally be hitting you over and over with a 9 or 10 (jab) Vitalis hardest shot is probably a 16, but every other punch he throws is a 12
Also take into consideration Vitali counterpunches so often hits his opponents coming in, he also hits with hooks and uppercuts aswell as the right Wlad generally has only the1-2 and occasional left hook, with the vast majority of his punches being jabs, then when he decides it's safe to hit you hard he does Vitali comes out hitting as hard at the start as he does at the end
Wlad's punches are like getting hit by a truck!!! Vitaly's are very acurate and he can throw them almost at will with a lot of acuracy but he's not near as powerfull as Wad's!!!
Very possible, of course his jab wouldn't be a 20 but he scored knockdowns with it and it was definitely powerful I've never really seen people hurt the way they were hurt by prime Tysons punches Though I imagine big George / Shavers would be men deserving of a 20 also
Seeing him work the heavy bag was quite terrifying, a 4 punch combination in 1 second and afterward the bag looked like it had been hit by a truck
Vitali throws a lot of punches, so I could understand the accumulation angle. I seem to remember he threw (and maybe landed) more punches in the Arreola fight than in any 12 round heavyweight title fight since they began. I could be mistaken, but he did achieve some sort of statistical achievement with his output that night
Chris Arreloa is a D- Fighter. Vitali dominated him. It was one of Vitali's greatest moments. Damn Arreloa was so ****ing fat lol.
Vitali = good couterpuncher, throws more punches than Wlad and he's more heavyhanded. These attributes leads Vitali mostly to victories by stoppage . Wlad = has more pop than Vitali , more explosive power that leads him to fast K.O victories but hes less active than his brother into the ring !
