I'd also question how sure you think the fighters have more fans in the US than their home country, i.e Marquez v katsidis attracted less than 5000 people to the fight. Do you think they'd get those numbers had it been held in mexico or australia. Im sure a pacquiao fight in the philippines would attract more than 50 000 fans. Do you think polands golden boy would attract more than 10 000 if he fought on home soil?

Look, im not saying america is the right or wrong plAce to hold the fight, but you got to think outside the box. This could be sold to the american public if you package it with a good undercard and the right marketing. All it takes is one big fight to put your name out there.

 

It would make sense for Haye if he was young and had plenty of fights left as America is a better route to take for the long term (like Khan is doing). But he claims to be retiring in October and it's too late for Wlad, he's had his chance at stardom in the US and blew it. The Americans aren't gonna take a shine to him.
