Yeah. I can see NYC as a spot as well. GBP has been interested in making inroads into NYC for years, so I can imagine MSG with an undercard with Paulie Malignaggi, Zab Judah, maybe even a comeback fight for Shannon Briggs if he doesn't go through with his plan to move to the Bahamas.
I hope so. I'd love to see the fight in MSG and I'd go for it. I don't think Ibragimov ran though. It's not like he wasn't there to be hit. It was just that Wlad, for whatever reason, refused to throw his right hand time and time again. He could have stopped him within 4 or 5 rounds, had he been more aggressive, but he was intent on doing that ridiculous pawing action and just jabbing to secure the win.
If what we hear about Haye's contracts with GBP and such are true, I can understand them doing this in London. Haye gets more since he pays less, which means Wlad gets more as well. It evens out the money dispute if Haye doesn't have to pay ridiculous ammounts to everyone else. Both fighters can get what they want financially, and we can get the fight we want. And then, if Haye beats Wlad (I don't think so, but *if*) he and Vitali can unify in MSG or Vegas. Everybody gets paid, we get a unified Champ. (Maybe. but I think Wlad will win which still leaves vitali's belt off his waist)
Has Haye been blackballed from fighting in Germany with his atrocious performance against Valuev where he ran the whole fight and threw a pathetic and embarrassing 11.9 punches a round? :roflatsch
Yet again you proved just how little you know. The Klitschkos can't sell seats in the US? Do your research please.
Mayweather vs Hatton is a completely different story. It's a fact that they would make WAY more money in Germany, or in the UK. It's not even close. I don't see the casinos in Las Vegas paying that much for Wladimir Klitschko vs David Haye. After the way that HBO has screwed Wlad over, I would tell them to shove that up their ass too.
Why should they fight in the US though, whats the point of fighting over there? The Americans don't even appreciate either one of them, so a fight in Wembley makes more sense, or some football stadium in Germany.
GBP isn't in charge. They don't run the whole show do they? K2 has at least 50% of the say don't they?
If Wlad & Haye were both Don King fighters they'd never fight each other because King would stand to make more money if both were considered World Champions.
I just hope an agreement is made, and fast, before Haye decides he don't want it, anymore.........once again.
I see your point, Sultan didn't run, but he leaned back waiting to counter over the right hand. He knew it was his only hope & he stuck to that throughout the entire fight. Wlad realized this & stayed outside only throwing the right when the jab landed completely flush so the right would land for sure and wouldn't leave Sultan the ability to counter. Also, keep in mind that it was a unification fight & Wlad was obviously serious about winning, regardless of how it looked.
