Its pretty self explanatory Haye wants global exposure not just a big money event in Europe.

Look at Manny Pacquaio for example. Pacquiao can sell out any Arena in the Phillippines. But you think he'd be as well known as he is now. If he hadn't fought in the US?

I don't think so. Whether you guys like it or not. America is still the Center of the World.

    Yeah right :rofl

Wlad is already a multi-millionaire who still fights because he enjoys it & he's building his legacy. Nobody is afraid of lil ol Davey Haye...............

I really think that Vegas is the worst place for this event. Two guys who are big draws in their own countries, draw big PPV and who are both European! I don't think that it would make sense financially or for the two fighters. It should either be at a big stadium in Germany or Wembley.

I just saw Haye interviewed and he's talking about the fight very half heartedly and saying that he'll retire in October 2011 regardless of whether the fight happens or not.

I seriously doubt that Haye is going to fight either Klit. before he retires.

And Haye is a fraud until he does fight a Klit as far as I'm concerned.

I didn't see the interview, but I read the transcript.
He's either running scared, or he's trying to lure the Klitschko side to give into more of his demands, by appearing to be "not interested" (because he KNOWS Wladimir is serious and wants this fight). This strategy won't work, imo.

I believe Haye fans would think more of Haye if he signed the contract, fought and lost, than if he doesn't fight at all. Because right now, after all the name calling, t-shirts, etc... he's just being a *****. At least man up and take the fight.

Haye is already lining up his excuses in my opinion. He sounded more interested in fighting Ruslan Chagaev. He'll probably do that and then conveniently retire in October 2011 without facing a Klit.

But he'll know in his heart of hearts that he chickened out.

Absolutely. Or man up, and say that he's not going to take the fight because he realizes he probably won't win. No shame in being honest Davey boy.

I posted in the round-by-round thread of Chagaev-Walker that after the terrible performance and look of Chagaev, Haye would try and line up this fight, rather than a fight against Wladimir. Looks like I might be correct, which is unfortunate.

Yes and he'll be saying that Chagaev is a former champ, mandatory challenger, has only lost to Wladimir etc to sell the fight :-(

Beating a great like barrea got him pacman well known, HBO took it from there. But pacman has put time in to get where he is at in america, now having PPV every fight.
Hayes has yet to sign to fight in america, i mean he yet to get HBO, he could of took second fiddle to khan, an got on the undercard, why not. Cause the guy has bit off more then he can chew with wlad an vitali, an all he has left some **** talking to do.
i mean what a great insult to the brothers, being on HBO, when they dumped the klitsckos, if hayes doesn't jump on moments like that, he does't want to fight

Breaking news: Hayes says he can not get the brothers to man up, an fight in North korea, he is going to retire:deal

No way does he retire without milking the Klitschko fights out of several million dollars. That you can bet on.

You think he'd just walk away from that kind of money, just cause he wants to keep this word on retiring on his 31st birthday?

Haye will fight one of them, and get beaten, and they rematch that one, and possibly also fight the other brother before he seriously considers retiring. He's not foolish enough to just walk away from a fortune being offered to him, for no reason, whatsoever.

And when he does retire, one day, he'll sit out awhile, then come back, again.

Fact of the matter is there is more GARENTEED money in a fight in Germany/UK, either way. Vegas would be good but not a Garenteed packed house and you could pretty much garentee a sell out in UK or Germany, of a football stadium instead of a small arena like the MGM grand.
