The world champion refusing to fight in the US, what kind of crap is that. So much for his American fans. He'll fight in Germany only, and Haye probably won't go there so a fine mess we got here. Just get this fight done and act like real men you clowns.

"Despite the unlikely prospects of a bout against Haye, there is still a clear desire from Klitschko. "I am ready to fight against David Haye anywhere in this world," he said. "He just needs to make the next step. Sign the contract, get in the ring and get the fight."'

    Really? Hmm...

Well for one there is less chance of bias either way than if the fight was held in say the UK or Europe.

And not to mention Las Vegas has the most lucrative history when it comes to these types of mega fights.

Plus there is the added exposure for both fighters... if Wlad wins in impressive fashion like he thinks he will don't you want him to have another chance at cracking the US market?

Of course I'd like to have another chance to see Wlad in the US.

And I understand the history of fights in Las Vegas, however I still don't see what that does for this fight in particular when compared to what the fight would bring in, in either England or Germany.

Vegas is my PREFERRED location, I just don't see the benefit of staging the fight there.

I thought David Haye was trying to maximize his profits? Why on earth would they fight in the United States?

Wlad wasn't quoted in the article. Bernd Bönte was quoted. Note that what Bönte says sometimes contradicts what Vitali and Wlad said in other interviews.

Bönte said on SKY SPORTS that he will want the fight to happen where there's evidence it will maximize all revenues. Maybe he has reason to believe Vegas is not that spot.

Maybe because of the time difference? Vegas is +2 hours from New York (EST), generating less viewership in the European markets? Just guessing.

    That's what I was wondering....

Unless it has something to do with him not having to pay GBP as much (compared to Saurland) if he fights in the US.

both vitali an wlad sold out at MSG an staple center, there is about 20 million plus people in driving distance of the stadiums, Vegas does not have that, but i do remember when i was at the mcline/wlad fight, most seats were filled, but vegas population is best a million, i for one don't mind flying into vegas, it is cheap for hotels an food, an i know the city lay out, NY is much more money for me. was at the khan fight (LV)

Truth is, they should fight in paris or rome, that would be epic

MSG would be fine, but Boente said America is pretty much out of the question.

    And after Wlad vs Ibriganov...

That left a very bad taste in people's mouths.

People should recognize that esp. in the higher weight classes Las Vegas is not the Mecca of boxing anymore.

In Las Vegas 15.000 people come to Klitschko-Haye while in London or Germany 80.000+ would fill a stadium. Klitschko not fighhting in LV is nothing but logical. If they fight in the US, then MSG or nothing.

    Las Vegas, MSG......

Wlad said he would fight Haye anywhere.

    What the problem is?

The only talk I ever heard of Las Vegas, was from the Haye/GBP side.
And it was a surprise to me, as it just doesn't seem like a logical choice,
not with huge arenas in London and Germany (where both fighters are much more well known) available.
