WLAD - ROCK: Who would you LIKE to win (not who you THINK will win)?

THE ROCK ! never liked the klitschko sisters.

 

This may surprise some of you but I don't think Rahman winning here does anything positive for the division.

I'd rather see Wladimir win it. We need a staple (or two) at the top. At least long enough for Povetkin or Haye to step in. :yep

 

I think Rock beating Wlad would put things back in a tailspin.................................but then again, that would then create a big showdown between Rock and Vitali for ALL the marbles ( and three of the four titles)...................I like that..!

 

Id rather see Wlad win and he will win, KO-7..

 

Wlad to win. R winning would just lower the champions prestige even further.

I do agree with you a little on this. Rahman winning the title would be terrible. But are the Klitchkos that good? The Klitchkos are rather robotic guys who are capitalizing on a weak division. Not that heavyweights were ever that great, but this is an exceptionally bad time. Vlad and Vitali are at least keeping the title in their hands. So I give them credit for that but the division is worse than ever. The fact that Rahman is getting a shot at the title says a lot about this division, as does the fact Evander is fighting Valuev. I would not rule out Lennox coming back and fighting Vitali. That would be great if Lennox won the title again and proved that he was good enough to come back and beat them after 5 years of inactivity. If Rahman wins you might as well give the title to Toney, because that will be Rahman's next fight. Then Toney will lose the title somehow in his next defense by coming in at 300 pounds.

 

I voted for Rahman also until I read ambition's post about Rahman not being great if he wins. And then I thought, yeah he is right. I think we always want the top fighters to be beaten just for excitement or a shakeup. Most champs get comfortable and cocky, so it is always nice to see them brought back down to reality with a loss. But really Rahman winning would not be great. By the way, you have 39,000 posts Rumsfeld? Good going. Impressive. That is the most I have seen on here so far.
