The guy speaks the truth. He may have had a rematch clause but the leverage would be in hayes favour if he won.
Haye needs to get ANY top 10 guy...hell TOP 15 guy...anyone. As a boxing fan, I wanna see him fight:good
I dont agree with the guy. But what is that **** you lot do when you hear the national anthem.? Dont you get taught that at school.?
He won't fight a top 10 guy. With his chin he knows, its a high risk and low reward. As a boxing fan, I'd love to see him fight Aerreola if he can't fight Vitali.
Don't kid yourself. The US still dominates baseball and basketball. Sure, the US has lost a couple of times recently in international competition but the US still remains the teams to beat in those sports. And the NBA and MLB still remains the premier league for those two sports in the entire world.. hence why the best players from each country come here to compete... Same goes for boxing. The US may have lost a lot of titleholders to Europe and other continents, but the best fighters in the world still try to come to the US to prove themselves. Yes Europe has more than 700+ million compared to around 300 million in the North America, yet North America still by FAR has more champions than any region in the world. Wlad has done everything he needs to be accepted in the US, as far as accomplishments go. His style is just not very fan-friendly.. that's all..
But the US is not the "End ALL". you have to think GLOBAL these days. I know wlad wants more in the US and I think he is much more popular then the haters on ESB want to admit, but everything has become much more Global then ever before and I think the brothers are doing a great job with it
How well was Wlad doing after 22 fights :huh No doubt Wlad is in another league for Popularity but he has had quite a big head start. Haye vs Enzo sold out a 20k arena in his what 21st fight, I'm sure Wlad wasn't doing that
couldnt tell you when wlad was at 22 fights, but my comment was toward the Haye boys who seem to think that Haye is a bigger draw then Wlad...its just not true
I am really am not kididng my self, but the facts are facts, whether you want to dispute that is up to you. U.S no longer holds "hegemony" over sports it use to dominate-and I am not even mentioning the sports that it doesn't dominate-like soccer-which is the biggest sport. As far as proving themselves in America-its simply because the money is here-not because fighting MGM is so much better than fighing in O2 Stadium, but because the money is here, if it wasn't, this country wouldn't be the melting pot that has been and is.
I understand that, but Amercia still is the Mecca of boxing. Its where good fighters come to get the exposure they need to become superstars. Wlad and Vitali said it plenty of times, they moved to America/California in the early 2000's to gain exposure and fight the best the world has to offer.
Of course it's true, You'd be an Idiot to say otherwise. I too just want to see Haye fight But I feel he will have a hard time securing anyone of the top 10 because they want to protect there status for a shot at Wlad or Vitali
correct... they DO want more exposure in the US and they are getting it.... but I think its more then just them...its the sport itself in the US. IMO even if Haye were to win, it wouldnt change a thing here in the US
well if Haye is a huge draw like his fans say, maybe the money will be right for someone.....at this point..I just want to see a fight.... ANYONE.... If Haye wants to a shot, at some point he will have to get a top 10:bbb
Haye slipped and as he was down Monte hit him, thats what happened in that pic, it was not a knockdown like you are insinuating by posting that picture. It was a foul.
