in an interview he complained that there are no good opponents left and that tv stations, especially in the us show no interest or the top ranked opponents don't want to fight him.

that makes me sad. i think it is getting more and more difficult for him to motivate himself.

come on the young guys have to go for their chance.

i wanna see fights against mitchell, fury, price, jenning, boytsov, pulev, abdusalaev.

even if they are not ready and to green, better than old afraid fighters without a chance to win.

imagine fury or price or mitchell land the one million dollar shot. the guy would be the undisputed champion and a global superstar over night.
    so why wait?

    not worth it

and if they take a voluntary fight the contract is locked down so that even if they win they are tied to multiple rematches with pre arranged same purse amounts

so even if somebody got their Buster Douglas moment they dont get the financial rewards

That is bull****. Wlad acts like everyone is scared of him so he uses that as an excuse to keep fighting **** fighters. That is all he ever does is make excuses. He acts like he is so much better than everyone else. Thats ok last time he was thinking like this Corrie the golfer Sanders lit his ass up. I can't wait until Wlad gets his ass kicked by one of these up and coming fighters. Wlad will be crying like a baby making excuses and so will his nuthuggers.

Wlads gonna give Arreola his shot in Oct or Nov at MSG. If Arreola turns it down, Wlad may give it to Mitchell or possibly Lawrence if he can get a big win this summer.
There are plenty of big fights to be made on the fringe as well. Rodriguez and Malik Scott carry undefeated records and are both live underdogs. Rodriguez would take the fight in a New York minute, but he's had more trouble in 2012 with being attacked and then turning his knee.......And then there's Welliver who just lost a close decision to Tank Williams in a fight he outlanded his victor almost 2-1. A win over Williams and he's in an eliminator which would be a big seller Wlad vs Welliver if it were held in China or the NW US.

There are plenty of fights to be made, but you cant help feeling bad for the K2 that their successors are essentially saving themselves for their retirement.

Here's hoping Suleiman will let Wlad into the WBC tournament for the title. Throw Boystov, Mitchell, Fury, Wach, Rodriguez and Ustinov in there, along with Wlad and make it a winner take all inside a yr.:deal

    :deal

once Vitali retires... Wlad defnately needs to pick the WBC belt up!

that would be WBA, WBO, IBF, IBO, Ring Mag and WBC...
pretty much every belt out there!!

who else has ever done that?? I can only think of BHop who's held the 4 major belts at 1 time of the top of my head.

In an ideal world for us though I think Wlad sticks around till someone who isn't a cheap ******* and pays all the sanctioning fees beats him!!

Boxing is definately better off the longer the HW division remains fully unified!!

edit* say wat u want about Wlad but the fact that he has managed to get every belt out there (id bet that he would own the WBC belt now if Vitali didnt have it), clean the divison up while continuing to pay multiple sanctioning fees and not vacate any of the belts is a quality that is good for the sport in general and one a lot of boxers these days don't have.

NO! He needs to unify and then KTFO Mitchell, Fury and retire off into the Sunset as a top ATG.

Not gonna happen. I dont think a champ can be ranked by the organization. This means he cant participate in the tournament. He will have to fight the winner. hopefully

That must have been an old interview because yesterday he said he wants to continue for a while and he said their are many guys out there who are coming up to fight in the near future.

I see no one on the horizon that presents a challenge, I'm with it. heavyweight would get a lot more exciting without the 2 headed beast....contenders would actually fight each other instead of padding until they get to cash out with a Klit loss. And hey maybe someone emerges as the new dominant force after a couple years and if Wlad keeps himself in shape (I'm sure he will) he can return for a mega fight with the new man at HW and cement his legacy with his greatest career win if he beats the new champ....then he can ride off into the sunset with a legit top win and a first ballot HOF career. Might even make him crack the top 10 ATG heavy list.

I think he should bang more world class hotties. He could steal Dicaprio's current girl
