Wlad says Haye an "easy payday;" Haye vows to fight "big Russian *****"

Wlad hugs when a guy rushes or literally crashes into him into the infight. Haye doesn't usually do that that's why I doubt there'd be much if any clinching in a fight between the two.

I watched a couple of Wlads recent fights yesterday and a few times they would both be stood there and then Wlad would just dive in and grab for no reason. Wether its cos he was tired or just panics for a split second i dont know.

What i do know is if he trys that against Haye he's in a world of hurt.

 

Can you give an example of a fight and a round?

I do know he did it against Tony the Tiger, the round im not sure until i can get home and check.

Chagaev is not Russian, he's ethnic a Tatat and Dimitrenko is of Ukrainian descent and now owns a German passport. Valuev also of Tatar descent.

 

Chagaev = Usbekistan
Dimitrenko = Ukraine/German

I re-watched the fight and replayed all the clinches multiple times. If you watch closely there's two distinct variations:

1. Thompson comes crashing into Wlad with head down. Here I don't blame Wlad for holding, what else is he supposed to do.
2. Thompson goes into mid-range while Wlad has his jab pawed out ranging in mid-range. He then pushes Thompsons head down, Thompson stumbles forward and they clinch. Wlad should have been warned by Cortez and maybe gotten a point deduction.

I haven't seen any of the "Wlad dives into Thompson and grabs him out of the blue" you described. However the illegal "push head down with the left, then grab" happened maybe 5-6 times over the duration of the fight.

Given Haye's style (low stance, prowl in the distance, avoid infight) I don't see any holding happening at all. He never crashes into his opponents with his head down Evander Holyfield style. Nor does he walk into mid range with his head low inviting Wlad to push his head down.

 

There will not be a single point in this fight where Wlad in not in FULL control of Haye. Wlad will DICTATE every aspect of the fight from round 1 till as long as it lasts. Haye doesnt have the style to win.

Haye fans banking on some lucky counter right (which haye wont be able to throw anyway) landing is *******s.

All you Haye fans get down the bookies and put your wages on it.
