I don't know what wlad does to get such critism, but he seems to do what is expected of a champion. He is saying on record that the chambers fight is the best option for the sake of the sport and what the fans want. And he's right. I'm intrigued by a wlad/chambers fight, and especially after the way eddie beat sasha(which I was totally surprised by) If povetkin won't enforce his IBF rating ASAP, then chambers should enforce his #1 spot for the WBO. Wlad has already accepted the challenge before it's even been issued. Wlad is a good representative of the heavyweight championship.
Even when fighting against sub-par opposition, he is ridiculously tentative and this gets under the fans skin. For example, he should have had Rahman out twice as quick as he did, the man was dead and out on his foot. Finished. Same with Thompson and Chagaev. And when he does fight someone least a bit dangerous, like Sam Peter, he holds really badly. This should answer your question.
It's the way he was taught in the ams obviously. He's always fought a pure boxers style. He scores just as many KO's as any heavy in history except tyson of course. So, he just put himself in harms way more often, and that would warm the fans more to him? OK. I see.
Damned if they do, damned if they don't. These klit haters actually call vitaly a tentative fight too.:huh
Being reckless is stupid, the man doesn't take such risks because he doesn't HAVE to when he's easily dominating. Fighters that go reckless are ones that do so when they know they're behind and have no other choice but to gamble. This is the heavyweight division, one punch can end it. There's also something called styles and going in reckless swinging wildly isn't' his style. If fans don't like nor appreciate his style then don't watch it. When he used to fight reckless before Steward people used to laugh at him and call him "glass jaw". Now under major improvements he's "too cautious"?

There's a difference between the level of competition. Iron Mike destroyed solid competitioin ie Trevor Berbick, Michael Spinks, Frank Bruno without thinking twice and while being a lot smaller than them in size and weight. The Klitoris Bros simply use their jab to wear out their journeymen opponents before finally finishing them late.
watching eddies last few fights, he had povetkin beat and let up on him, he beat scam peter fair and square pretty handily and whipped dimetrenkos ass handily. peter teed off on him a couple times and never even fazed him, he must have a chin like mccall. im sayin it looks like a 50/50 fight and i wouldnt bet on this fight at all although id be rooting for eddie chambers. this fight would definately go to a decision which if ti went either way i wouldnt be suprized at all
Berbick and bruno more solid than klit opponents?:nono You must be one of those yesteryear fight fans who can't let go. the late 80's heavy scene was as weak or weaker than this one. And vitaly was ahead of probably the best heavy of all time in LL when the fight was stopped on cuts. Wlad's victories are as good as iron mike's pal. tyson just had a much more pleasing style than wlad, but he was far from a better fighter. P.S. Spinks wasn't a real heavy. he was a shilstone makeover that masqueraded as one. this is evident in that his only victory at heavy was against an ancient larry holmes.
