That was an extremely long paragraph Widdow, but I read it all just for you.

I have boxed most of my life, with some success at Middleweight and later at light Heavyweight, I was obviously not good enough to become pro, but if half assed fighters like Zelenoff and Hartley can get a license, anyone can. That being said, I do understand boxing more than you give me credit for. I'm not going to lie, half the time I say **** about Wlad, I do it just **** off the Wlad nuthuggers, like yourself.

As for the Wlad/Iggy fight, Wlad did dominate with primarily just his jab, and won 10 or 11 rounds out of 12 on my scorecard, but unlike most of his other fights, this was on a much bigger stage, and it was chance to finally prove to the Amercian public Heavyweight boxing is alive and well, but judging by rain of boo's that came down from the arena that night, he did just the opposite.

I guess as a fight fan, I want my champion to have toughness, personality, and power, as well as be generally exciting. Wlad has only 1 of those attributes in my book, and severely lacks in the personality department, as well as his toughness level. I do believe he is enertaining at times, but it seems he sometimes fears another Sanders or Brewster like moment, and that alone makes him fight a little more cautious than he should, especially against the bigger punchers he goes up against, like when he fought Iggy and Peter.

Thats just my view on Wlad, you probably disagree with me, and thats cool, that's what this site is all about, if every poster agreed with each other, this site wouldnt be as great as it is.

Thats why Emanuel Steward said he had no problem with Peter's punches that night, because he knows as a former top notch ametuer fighter, when you turn your back to your oppenent, your fair game, and not only that, Wlad was clinching onto Peter non-stop that night, and the ref did absolutely nothing about it, I guess Neuman decided to let the fighters fight it out that night.

I feel both fighters used illegal tactics that night, to where both men should of been giving a warning or had a point taken away. Let me ask you this Widdow, when Frazier got hit by Foreman behind the head and went down or when Hagler hit Hearns behind the head and went down, why did their knockdowns count? Because they both turned their back to their oppenent, the same thing Wlad did when Peter had him hurt, that alone is illegal tactic, and Wlad paid the fair price for doing it.

He fought alot of top notch oppenents and didnt get knocked out, the Virchis fight was after he fought Peter.

Sam is an exciting fighter, he does have a funny personality, he clearly has power, and other than the Vitali fight, he has always shown toughness in the past.

So f*cking what? the Maskaev fight was years before Peter and Hawkins still got KTFO by a 3-0 rookie in Oleg. Man, you're just so full of it - it's not even funny.

The only thing Peter could have ruined in Hawkins was his psyche - it takes a lot of inner strength to dance hug a man with a hole in his shorts.

STFU already, you're just too ridiculous. I was ready to jump on the Peter bandwagon after the Wlad fight but the fat ******* ruined everything with his own hands. The fight with Wlad was his career best performance by far, he's been degrading ever since. In fact he's become one of the worst boxers in the sport who is blessed with natural power. Nothing else. Had he been a better boxer he would have definitely been able to score more than 2 KOs in the last I forgot how many years, but he hasn't!

How his he exciting? He is slow, crude, and has never knocked out anyone decent aside from Maskaev, who was 38 and well known for having a weak chin. And even then, Peter didn't knock him out brutally by any stretch. It was a TKO stoppage where Maskaev didn't go down and wasn't even seriously hurt

Wlad is way more exciting than Peter. His KO percentage is much higher, against a lot better opposition, and he actually has skill

Hawkins probably only had 4 or 5 fights himself back in the mid 90's. Hawkins went the distance with Peter, Tua, Guinn, Chambers, and Maskaev recently, his chin must not be that bad.

He's enertaining for the most part, and unlike Wlad, he doesnt clinch onto his oppenents for fear of being knocked out, he stands in and slugs it out and never once backed away from a toe to toe exchange, even against McCline when he was hurt, he refused to shy away from the battle at hand.
