He wins in much more convincing fashion against better oposition. He defends all his belts. Why is floyd still at 1 he struggles with **** ****s and needs rematches to win and vacates titles when fighters dont suit him?

It's close. Floyd's last loss was in 2002 vs Castillo, Wlad's last loss was in 2004 vs Brewster. The difference is that Klit is open to fight anybody, while Floyd ... you know the story...And if we measure their current state then Wlad obviously looks more dominant then either Mayweather or Pac at the moment, so OP has a point.

Because Mayweathers' best career as well as recent wins > Wladimir's best career as well as recent wins... same with Pacquiao. And guys like Roman Gonzalez and Andre Ward (prior to the one year of inactivity he reached this month) can say the same.

I will say that Wladimir had one great 13+ month stretch beating Povetkin and Pulev. But to put that in perspective, neither are on par with moving up in weight to capture the lineal JMW title from Saul Alvarez. Floyds' win over Guerrero last year is better than almost all of Wladimir's opponents in his "17 title defense streak" he's been on.

I do laugh when people don't rate Wladimir in their top 10 P4P though and make a big deal about how nobody should.

Unfortunately if Wald competed at 147 he wouldn't be a force at all.... Not with his style or skills. He is in a divison that is weak and he dominates through having size and being better than his opposition in terms of skills. But p4p is who you beat and how you beat them plus all the other intangibles. Who Wald beats in a weak division is not his fault but it plays a HUGE factor on why he will never be #1

******ed post. Basically translates to "if Wlad was someone else, he wouldn't be good at 147" How the **** do you know how Wlad would fight if he weighed 100 lbs lighter, and had a completely different frame/build???? :huh

Wlad imo is top 3 p4p. He would be number 1 if he had face better fighters through out his title defends reign. Think about it wlad best win is against Smaller frame, small CrusierWeight David Haye and that fight was flat out boring which it wasn't even on world wide ppv. Yeah its not wlad fault for weak competition but at the same time you cant ignored it. Floyd face fighters that are bigger names then any known name fighters that wlad fought. Same with pac. And think about Floyd, pac face most fighters that are bigger, taller then them while wlad face like 3 fighters or 4 taller then him. And Wlad fights has been boring in mostly every fights since 04.

Corky.....How the **** is my post ******ed? LOL......Based on his skill set and his style....IF Wald was a welterweight he wouldn't have the qualities to compete with the top guys who operate with a much higher level of skills. Walk is a fighter who perfected his style based on his level of opposition which is WEAK SAUCE!

Sure....if Wald was smaller and had a different frame and build he might have a different style......he might be a better boxer based on the level of competition. But the P4P ranks are also based on how he'd do against THE BEST from a skills perspective.

The Wald with his current bag of skills would NOT compete at the level of the the best currently who make up the P4P charts.

Manny should be ahead of him. Having him #3 is okay but as soon as Ward fights again he should be given #2 or #3. Wlad cannot compete with Floyd, Manny and S.O.G. here...let's be real here

Not yet but he is close. If he defeats Bryant Jennings next and Floyd fights anyone not named Pacquaio I could see Wlad overtaking the top spot. He has dominated two number one contenders in the last 13 months and is undefeated over a decade.

Heavyweights are different, you can win because you're larger and heavier than your opponent. That's not the case in the lower weights. That's why it's called POUND FOR POUND.

Do you really think Wlad would look as good if every opponent he faced were 6"6 and 250 pounds ?
