Just give him the darn thing so he can say he's the champ for the 65th time or something like that and retire already. Sheezzzzzz....
Even if he did that I get the feeling that Holyfield would then try to be "the longest reigning champ", or something ridiculous like that. I think boxing is going to have to retire him
Agreed, I'm embarassed to tell my friends who watch the UFC that he's the number 1 Heavyweight champ at the moment, for fear that they seen him fight before.
god will he ever retire wlad should give it to him soon he probaly wont be given a license then again they should have stopped him boxing what 5 years ago
Holyfield is DONE, i doubt he will fight again, he will be 47 this year, and the way Ibragimov easily handled him last year may have finally made him realize that he can't compete anymore, besides he can't get licensed in Nevada, New York, the 2 big states for boxing so it's over..
That's it! He had his last shot - there's nothing left for him anyway. He needs to talk to Foreman about how to sell his name! :good
Yes i know:yep maybe BIG GEORGE can teach Holy some lessons in Marketing, Holy's got more $$$$$$$$$$ than he can ever spend it's stupid for him to keep fighting..
Holyfield is only still in it because of the money he said so himself, dont think he cares about another HW title.
Agreed, though they wouldnt see it that way, if my friends watched him they would probably see something stupid like "This guy looks like a *****" or "Why does he look so scared, is he afraid to get hit or something?", that's why I never tell them when he fights, in case Wlad has a panic attack episode or worse, I try to stick with telling them about the lighter weight fighters instead.
Well then maybe you should try to educate your friends on the complexity of the sweet science, you know like it's the ART of self-defense and the object is to hit without being hit. Little things like that. Or you could join them and really get some good ole boy excitement and download some bum-fights from You-tube. Those guys are drunk, high, unskilled and generally they appear too stoned and stupid to look or be scared.
If Ibragimov knocked out Holyfield like he easily could have, maybe Evander would realize he has no chance of winning a title anymore. But instead, Sultan fought him safety-first and gave Holyfield the impression that if he threw/landed more right hands he could have won the fight. Sadly, Holyfield will probably fight more a few more years, so maybe the Sultan fight doesn't even matter.. just a thought though.
You go and try to tell diehard UFC fans about why a fighter is scared of throwing a right hand because he's afraid of being countered, besides I dont like How Wlad fights scared anymore either, I dont like the UFC, but alot of there matches were more enertaining than the Wlad/Iggy.
I learned to never watch Heavyweight boxing with my UFC friends again, I seem to pick the worst fights to view with them, they made of both Brewster and Wlad during there second fight, and I almost punched my one friend when he called Brewster a *****.
