Wasn´t the most action packed fight, though I guess it was a masterpiece in the school of no risk fighting from Wlad.

He fought a perfect fight. Uneventful, ugly, but perfect. Throwing the jab to keep the distance, grabbing Ibragimov when he moved in, landing a few very carefully selected power shots and that's it. That was EXACTLY what I've expected, a boring jabbing contest (okay, I was hoping a bit more aggressive Sultan but I thought that if he can't set the pace, it's over for him no matter how many rounds he has) and it's turned out to be a little bit more boring in the end.

Wlad has MUCH MORE in his arsenal, but he didn't use it because he knew it's gonna be a tactical 12 rounder and didn't want to get tired. So as his jabbing was enough for an easy win, it's safe to say he fought a perfect fight. Sultan is a great counter-puncher, so Wlad didn't take any risks.

agreed. fighting the "perfect fight" does not equal "exciting" "blood n guts" etc. it was perfect because he was never hit. shutout a top fighter at this moment in the division, and never looked in trouble. hell with the few punches he threw wladimir almost had sutlan out of there. he even should have been awarded at least 1 knock down.

so remember perfect fight or perhaps perfect fight plan is more accurate. was it heart pounding exciting like taylor-pavlik 1? of course not! but guess what? pavlik-taylor one was a TERRIBLE fight plan  pavlik stuck his chin out and got smashed in round 2. taylor burnt himself out and got KTFO. so while it was most definately NOT a perfect fight (plan?), it was exicting. (i am a huge pavlik fan by the way lol).

just trying to help here

I don't know if that is either something to be proud of or to be (a little)ashamed of..

Anyways, I was dissapointed a lot. Wlad was in monster shape and I expected more
