40 of those were jabs, 21 of which landed in each round. I was and still am amazed that Rahman's face wasn't that badly marked, 20 of his heavy jabs per round for six and a half rounds is a LOT.

I guess the fact that he was setting the pace made it easier for him to throw many shots, but it's pretty good, considering the heavyweight average is 40 punches a round.

Rahman doesn't mark up much :) That is besides freakishly large baseball sized lumps on his forehead

Do you have different punchstats than me? I had different, slightly lesser ones.
    I had these :

    WLADIMIR
    Jabs 134/251 (53%) ~ 19/36 per round
    Power 44/118 (37%) ~ 6/17 per round
    Total 178/369 (48%) ~ 25/53 per round

    RAHMAN
    Jabs 15/151 (10%) ~ 2/22 per round
    Power 15/56 (27%) ~ 2/8 per round
    Total 30/207 (14%) ~ 4/30 per round

These days, heavyweight average punches per round is apparently 45.

With stats like that it just goes to prove Wvlad is a class C fighter. Ali and Tyson both had higher KO rates and output and accuracy twice as high.

(the sad thing is that people actually believe the nonsense I just wrote about lol)

    I watched round 1, 3 and 4 and there wasn't much clinching.

I used the same stats as you did, but you made the mistake of dividing the number of punches by 7 rounds, while in fact there were only ~6.3 rounds. That accounts for the difference.
