Fair enough I guess. I've been saying Vitali should retire for awhile now. That would allow Wladimir to unify the final belt with the rest.:good

    ATGs command massive PPV numbers.
ATGs don't get booted off the world stage and relegated to obscure tv stations and free streams over the net.

Personally I think chef's food is far my appealing than watching wlad get another easiest payday in sport.

Wlad should end it early but wont because he is paid for the ads.

Actually, Wlad is ON the world stage.

He's NOT on the very top of the US stage, and HBO has admittedly said that Wlad being from outside of the US is the main reason why. He is still on EPIX though, which broadcast many heavyweight fights, and is definitely not an "obscure" channel by any means.

The ATGs of the past were all from the US. Today boxing is a worldwide sport, and when the US was no longer on top, the US audience lost interest.

Wlad was never in a fight to be remembered and his bouts wont ever be on re runs. He'd still be in America today if he entertained the majority of boxing fans.
He has given the sport nothing.
HBO, Shotime, ESPN and Sky feature boxers on the world stage.

  9. Germany is a power house country and just a tier below that of The US and China in terms of economic standings... but in terms of sports standings it's really not a power house country in regards to 'world stage marketing'

Let me explain what that means.. Soccer is the most watched sport in Europe (by far).. Germany right now have the 2 best football teams in the world in Bayern Munich and B.Dortmund... they are very popular in Germany but they are not world stage teams (even Munich is considered a 2nd tier World Stage team) the world stage teams are .. Barca.. Madrid. Man Utd. Chelsea. Liverpool. Arsenal..
When it comes to Football(soccer) it don't matter how big Germany is.. the world stage belongs in the Uk and Spain.

When it comes to HW Boxing.. it really don't matter how big German Audiences get.. the Mecca is still the US in regards to Heavyweights.
This is why Wlad attempted to start the 2nd stages of his boxing career in the US just like foreigner Lennox Lewis.. If Germany was world stage in boxing.. he would have just stayed in Germany from the get go.

You know Bayern just Raped Barca 4-0:deal:hi:

  11. That's why I said .. Germany got the 2 best teams in the world.. That was the entire point of the post. But in terms of marketing.. Barca is still >than Bayern. and will always be >than Bayern even if Bayern is better.

Look at this clown who doesn't consider Bayern as an elite World team. Who the **** are Chelsea and Arsenal compared to Bayern? And I say that as an Arsenal fan.

  13. Bayern is not only an elite world stage team. They are the BEST team in the world. You missed the entire point of the post..

No I didn't you idiot. Here's the football rich list. Now and bear in mind teams like Arsenal only have such a high poistion at all due to their extortionist ticket prices. For instances an Arsenal season ticket costs well over a £1000 compared to a few hundred for a Bayern one. ie Arsenal don't have the global fanbase that Bayern have.

Obviously historically Bayern blow Arsenal out of the water too when it comes to success on the pitch which doesn't even need to be said.

  15. You just don't get it. Who's a better footballer? Zlatan Ibramovic or Wayne Rooney? Who's more famous in Europe? Who's a bigger marketing gem?

As popular as Ronaldo is.. if he was from London and name Christian Woods... he would be a even bigger star. Imagine if Messi was from Liverpool and a Brit? The point is in terms of marketing .. HW Boxing is best if it's US and in terms of marketing Soccer Stars are best marketed if they are Spanish or British.. OR if they play in the La-Liga or Premier League

Who's a bigger marketing gem.. Man Utd or B.Dortmund?
Who's still playing in the champions league?
