Dude Wlad went years hardy losing a round where his opponent could not do anything to stop him that is schooling someone. and 53 ko's in 64 wins yeah he sure couldn't punch...
This. Case closed. Haye got embarrassed after he and certain idiots talked years of **** in the lead up.
Wlad won 9-3 or 9-2-1 even in rounds. I wouldn't call it a schooling as it wasn't a masterclass by Wlad, but he won clearly.
Seen many of his fights. He'd shoot nothing but get away from me jabs while the opponent helpless not being able to reach him would finally exhaust himself or go for broke, only then would Wlad shoot an occasional right hand with power in it to finish the opponent. Long, tedious, boring fights a great chunk of them. Nothing more boring than a big tall Heavyweight who outweights his opponent by 25+ pounds afraid to engage. Lets not forget that HBO dropped Wlad for staging such boring fights.
Haye landed a nice one in the last round. People need to watch this fight whenever they criticise the Fury-Wlad fight. Haye was an aggressive fighter, but somehow the fight was similar in action to 'boring style' Fury's fight with Wlad. Why? The common element is WLAD. Fury and Haye were definitely more cautious because of Wlad's power, so that's on them. But they also need Wlad to throw and not hug after every jab so they can counter and fight. And Wlad turns every threatening fight into jab and grab, as is well known. The Povektin fight was Wlad's masterpiece of ****-style. But what I ultimately took from this contest was that both Wlad and Haye were right about eachother. Wlad is most definitely the unbearable smug d1ckhead with an irritating hug style that Haye claimed, and also inherently corrupt as far as dirty games in contracts and fightnight (Haye's account of the walk in through the mud or whatever was interesting). And Haye is most definitely the loudmouth posturing 'flashy flash' fool that needs to be humbled, as Wlad claimed. Also, I'd say that although Haye gets criticised for the toe excuse, if the toe was broken it's absolutely a genuine cause for a loss of performance when you're talking about a fighter who relies on explosive movement.
It was 10-2 or 9-3 in Wladimir's favor. Haye barely edged a couple. Terrible spoiler performance from Haye but Wlad also showed poor form with ring IQ so I'll give Haye some credit for that I suppose. But if someone scored all 12 for Wladimir, I wouldn't have a remote issue with it. He widely took his rounds.
