Povetkin will be a big underdog against Wlad, he is at a big stylistic disadvantage. Povetkin is a good fighter and would be a tough fight for any other fighter. But Wlad is operating on a whole different level compared to the rest of the division right now. The division isn't loaded at the moment but Wlad is a beast right now and should recieve due credit if he does beat Povetkin convincgly as most seem to think.

I guess Povetkin isn't taking a tune up before fighting Wlad. That wo uld have made alot of sense so he and Atlas could have gotten some work in together first. Either way he is going to get knocked out by Wlad. Wlad by ko.

Agreed. To me, it looks like Povetkin and his team are trying to force wlad out of the fight...They seem to be trying to postpone this fight at all costs hoping wlad walks so their man can pick up a vacant IBF strap. How the IBF allows these clowns extension after extension is beyond ludacris!
I didn't fully understand the above article but it seems like Sauerland has some huge backer trying to win the purse bid and move the fight out of germany and into Russia. Wlad needs to have a backup option in place though in case Povetkin bottles the fight again. Sauerland seems very shady....let's not even talk about their joke Valuev.

Haye/Povetkin have ****ed around with Wlad's career. He will punish them both if they ever step in the ring with him.

BTW, Wlad will never drop his belt so Povetkin is **** out of luck. Either fight Wlad or **** off.

Yes, Povetkin is a worker, no question. Like Chagaev's attemtps, I think Povetkin will also do his best to put heavy pressure on Wlad and do his best to come forward, trying like hell to get inside and land.

But I am eager to see how long Povetkin's come forward style stays intact, given the punishment he's gonna take.

These smaller guys trying to get past Wlad's reach, speed, power, and left hand, reminds me of a medieval knight trying like hell to avoid the raining down of arrows and catapult rocks and get over the wall and onto the enemy's fort. :good

And given how Atlas has, repeatedly, expressed his low opinion of the K brothers, I think every shot Wlad lands on Povetkin will really be Wlad's way beating the hell out of Teddy Atlas. LOL

Atlas will be open to a lot of ridicule and look like a total ridiculous dumbass after this fight is over.

He better have the medical evac chopper phone number on speed dial after he throws in the towel for Povetkin.

    Wlad will easily win

and Klit fans will say Povetkin would be a top 5 heavyweight in any other era

Povetkin's pace, boxing skills, confidence, and determination will carry him through victory against Wlad. He would turn it up as the fight goes on and he will land ...

I just wonder if he's relentless enough to take some punishment ...

I can tell you guys this about Wlad ... he doesn't fight at a fast pace and he can't handle throwing alot of punches back and fourth and he doesn't take body punches very well (when his opponents were able to get on the inside)

If Povetkin turns up the heat - Wlad will get tired.

Shut the **** up *****. it barely mean Klit fans if one nut hugger claims Chagaev is TOP 5 hw in any ERA. :patschAll we might say Povetkin was decent boxer and a solid win.

It goes both ways, you can claim his competition sucks that's why Wlad wins and Wlad is just average boxer, or his competition is fine and they just look bad coz Wlad is so ****ing good.:deal

NO Wlad opponent is a top 5 HW in any era ... maybe except for the Larry Holmes era.

You're right, I think that's Povektins only chance, if he has one. He has to make the fight dirty, he has to take it on the inside, he has to grab Wlad a lot and turn this into a clinch/pushing fest, trying to sap Wlad's energy level. Then he maybee can hope that he can regenerate his own energy faster than Wlad can in the later rounds.

It is highly unlikely but I don't see many other viable strategies for Povetkin.

Povetkin is a Undefeated HW gold medalist. Name me the last time time 2 Gold medalist fought for the HW title? Povetkin would easly be a top 5 in any other Era, proably would grab a belt in one as well. I do believe his style is not going to mesh well with Wlads though and he's going to lose. He rather reminds me of mercer with his come forward approach, but with alittle less power and alittle more skill. We'll find out how good of a chin he has after.

Yes indeed, just try to implement that kind of gameplan while dodging a huge telephonepole flying towards you constantly:!:
Keeping Wlad busy is impossible, it is Wlad who keeps his opponents constantly busy, dodging sledgehammers!!
