did you see what happended to wlads legs when pulev landed huis very first jab in the fight ??? wlads legs turned to jelly .....technically wlad is better then ruddock .....but ruddock lands that hammer in rd 1 or rd 2 and wlad does not recover .........im talkuing about the arrogant ruddock from 89 to 91 not the shot to **** version that showed up against lewis and morrison
in fact the tim witherspoon that showed up against al cole /mercer/gonzales i think would knock wlad out with that huge right hand
I think it would be a sloppy, crazy fight...similar in alot of ways to the Sam Peter fight. The Ruddock from the Tyson fights gives Wlad a tough run. But I'll go with the Emanuel Steward trained version of Wlad and his much better mechanics to beat Ruddock by decision.
Yes, top shelf power & a threat once, but cannot see him beating Wlad peak for peak. Ruddock became a vegetarian & was talking of a comeback a short while back at 47, remember?
I disagree. Ruddock would have a pretty good chance to beat Wlad. Ruddock was a pretty decent boxer before he fell in love with his power 'smash.' Then he became a head hunter. Same as Tyson did later in his career.
We've seen dozens of "pretty decent boxers" lose to Wlad without winning a single round. Being a decent boxer is not enough. Either you blindingly fast with a killer instinct (Ruddock was the opposite) or you have a rock solid chin and can take Wlad's monster punches (Ruddock's chin is nothing to write home about), hoping he tires himself out. So no, Ruddock doesn't have a pretty good chance to beat Wlad. He'd be a huge huge underdog and would need a miracle to win.
