Activity Level: fights since January 2008 Haye: 5 Wlad: 6 Fights since January 2007 Haye: 7 Wlad; 8 Fights since January 2006 Haye: 10 Wlad: 10 "Earned" to fight for it. Chisora has done the sum of **** all to get a fight against Wlad - are you saying it will be worthless if he wins? Won it: He won it the same way Chagaev won it - MD over valuev - but let me guess, you're saying it should be Wlads belt because of the stripping palaver. But the way you describe it, he doesn't deserve it either. Of course, we could go back in time and say Wlads belt is worthless, because he won it from Byrd, who was the ultimate "paper champ" after the IBF was stripped from Lewis.
And? Again. Let's go back the IBF. Are you saying that it's not really Wlad's, as Lewis was still active when Byrd had it?
No, he wasn't. Let's go real slow. Who did Wlad win it from? Chris Byrd. Was Lewis active when Byrd had the belt? Yes. Did Byrd beat Lewis for the belt? No. Did the belt change hands between Lewis retiring, and Wlad beating Byrd for it? No. So. If an active Lewis hadn't been stripped for it - would Byrd have had it? No. If Chagaev retired tomorrow - does that make Haye's ownership suddenly legit? No? Well then, I guess Lewis retiring didn't make Byrd's ownership of it legit either?
Adamek is the better of the two fighters. However, I would love to see either Klitschko get Haye into a ring, not likely to happen though.
It was clear, the Valuev that came in against Haye, was a sacrificial lamb waiting to be slaughtered. Haye was absolutly pathetic in not taking any advantage in that fight and going life and death with such a POS opponent, who was ripe for being soundly defeated. Adamek would have absolutly owned Valuev on that night.
Why don't you compare Haye's acitivity level with Adamek's, especially as a HW since this is our subject of conversation. Adamek has eclipsed Haye as a HW, has done so in 14 fewer months.
The minute Wlad lands a solid punch on Haye, he will fold like a cheap lawn chair. He's done that at least once as a pro (vesrus a regional contender) and multiple times as an amateur. Who wants to see a sacraficial lamb being Ko'd in the first few roumds? Adamek stands more chance, if for no other reason than because of his inherent toughness and ring IQ which will ensure he will come prepared. IMO, Haye has been so sheltered as a HW people are still judging him based on his CW record. That's basically hype, ladies and gentleman.
What about the choice wlad actually made, derek chisora. Doesn't anyone want to see that? Oh wait, sorry it's just a tune up isn't it? Hang on tho, didn't wlad say chisora is a better fighter than haye? Ridiculous it is. The funny thing is, wlad would spark adamek, chisora and haye in the same night. None of them pose much of a threat stylistically and none of them have a proven chin at the weight. As for vitali - haye. Don't hold your breath, solis is am excellent fighter and should not be taken easily.
Adamek is clearly a more skilled fighter than Haye, and for sure a greater warrior. But you don't beat Wlad by outboxing him. Haye has good power for a heavyweight and so the small punchers' chance he will have automatically gives him a better chance than Adamek. I really don't think Adamek can beat Wlad. I fear he will take a sustained beating, which I definately don't want to see. I would still rather see Haye take the deserved beating that's coming to him.
And while Chagaev was WBA champ! Someone paid off the WBA to not sanction the Wlad-Chagaev bout. Don King is the prime suspect. Especially as two of his fighters fought off for the vacant belt after it was stripped from Chagaev.
I won't bother repeating pretty much exactly what you said so I'll just say i agree 100% with this. Adamek doesn't have the tools against Wlad to do anything other than take a beating. Haye has the tools to stop Wlad, slim chance but he has the tools. It all comes down to the old saying styles make fights. Adamek would give Haye a good fight but Adaemk has no chance against Wlad wheras Haye has a punchers chance
