How do you see the following all time greats doing against Wladamir Klitscho? Mike Tyson (of the Spinks fight) Muhammad Ali (of the Cleveland Williams fight) Joe Louis ( of the Schelming 2 fight)
No disrespect to Wlad, but all three of these contests would result in a one sided mashing, with him being on the receiving end each time. Tyson and Louis finish matters early cause of Wlad's vunerability in the chin department. :yep Tyson KO2 Wlad Ali TKO10 Wlad Louis TKO4 Wlad
Can't see Wlad winning any of those. Tyson would probably KO him early. If he runs from Louis like he did from Peter than he can make it a fight but in the end i don't think he can avoid getting caught by those combinations. His only chance is if Louis' chin gives in or he finds something like Schmeling. Ali would likely decision Wlad; i don't see him stopping him. He couldn't knockout other fighters with even worse chins like Norton in 50 rounds nor could he effectively keep Patterson off him power-wise; it was more a matter of domination. I think Wlad could definitly trouble Ali; fast snappy jab, big power, much better paced than a Foreman, harder left hook than Frazier, huge size and he won't quit on his stool like Liston. 12 rounds would definitly favor Wlad; an old Folley was even on the cards with him going into the 7th.
Many here will disagree, but Tyson would eat him up. Wlad is not good at fighting on the backfoot. A good swarmer would overwhelm him each and everytime. Tyson would stop him in two rounds. Now for Muhammad, he would beat him to the punch everytime. Klitschko is fast for his size, but still is in virtual slow motion in comparison to the fastest punching and moving heavyweight of all-time. Klitschko's poor stamina would do him in because Ali in his prime threw up to 90 punches a round without missing a beat. Klitschko would tire at around round 8 ro 9, and Ali would pick up the pace and knock him out not long after. As for Joe Louis, he wasn't as good a crowder as Mike Tyson, but Klitschko will still have his hands full wil that kind of volume punching. Klitschko would keep away for a while with his height and reach, but eventually, Louis' pressure would get to him in the early/mid rounds. Mike Tyson KO 2 Wladimir Klitschko Muhammad Ali KO 11 Wladimir Klitschko Joe Louis KO 5 Wladimir Klitschko :good
What is your evidence for Wlad not being able to fight well off the backfoot? He fought off the backfoot for 12 rounds against Samuel Peter without being caught on the ropes on a single occasion. 90 punches a round? Maybe he's done that in a few rounds but you make it sound like he always did that. He didn't. And when he did, that was because most of his punches have little on them. Wlad throws knockout punches. Watch a prime Ali vs an old and slow Folley, he went even with him for 6 rounds with his 90 punches a round pace..
