I think Bowe stops Wlad simply because Wlad has zero inside fighting skills and his chin will fail him. Wlad will keep Bowe at the end of the jab for a while until they get clinched and Bowe capitalizes on an opportunity and hurt Wlad. THat will be the beginning of the end for Wlad.
On the fence for this one... Could go either way I reckon. Bowe might catch Wlads chin but could he be the first to knock him cold? Would Wlad keep Bowe off and pizza faced him? Would of loved to see it. If I had to pick I'd go with Bowe to take it.
I dunno. I keep seeing the two extremes of Bowe. His round of the year against Holyfield. Bowe getting punched at will by Golota. Styles make fights, naturally. Overall I'd slightly favour Wlad.
Americans love to overrate Bowe because he whooped Holyfield. Build up the guy who beat their boy in his prime. Who else did Bowe really beat? Bowe beat Holyfield by infighting and brawling. Bowe was outboxed from the outside by much smaller Holyfield.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNW5lpa_ehM[/ame] when you watch this..you quickly realise that all eras of boxing were overrated...all eras had problems...not just this one ( today ). The same goes for the 80's , 70's , 60's , 50's... prime for prime...i think the Klitschkos would toy with both these guys...hell , you don't even need the klits to get the job done...even a smaller boxer such as adamek would have legit chances to get the job done.. the klits certainly aren't perfect...but neither were the likes of Bowe , Holyfield or golota etc...etc..
Why are you singling out the overweight Bowe from the Golota fight? That was Bowe at his lowest point, yet he still managed to knock down a quality contender in Golota - A guy who in his prime would destroy any heavyweight contender from this current era. Adamek would beat Bowe? :rofl:rofl:rofl. Of course the small heavyweight with crap footwork and no power who got rocked thrice by Michael Grant and punchless Steve Cunnigham would beat one of the most skilled heavyweights of all time. The Bowe from the first Holyfield fight would finish Wlad inside a few rounds, and would comfortably outbox the slow, stiff Vitali with surprising ease. Bowe's only loss is to Holyfield - The GOAT cruiserweight and an ATG heavyweight. Bowe also beat the prime version of this man. The best win either Klitscho has is over an overweight golfer named Corrie Sanders, who KTFO'd Wlad and gave Vitali hell in the first two rounds. Compare their best wins - Prime ATG heavyweight with one of the best resume's in the sport, or a fat South African golfer who lost to a past his best Hasim Rahman. I wonder?
Exactly. Exciting fights get overrated so easily. The first Holyfield - Bowe was a great war and an expression of anti - ring intelligence by Holyfield, trying to physically grind down and bigger stronger man who can't throw a straight punch. Wlad is Mr. effective these days. Bowe would never get to use his infighting skill. Besides, for all the criticism of Wlad's chin, Bowe's chin is unproven against a big puncher. Golota hurt Bowe even with his jab and Wlad would be the hardest puncher Bowe would face since the Olympics...
Why do YOU point to Wlad's lowest point if you don't want Bowe - Golota brought up????? Bowe was lucky to match up well with Holyfield. He would have been embarassed by Lewis (again) or Holmes or any great HW who would opt to outbox him behind a good jab. Holyfield fought Bowe's fight that night. The same Holyfield who outboxed Bowe in the rematch from the outside despite being shorter, the same Holyfield who was outboxed by Moorer. If Moorer couldoutbox Holyfield, the Klitschkos would have done the same with ease. Holyfield and Bowe make each other look great by circular logic: Bowe was great because he beat a prime Holy, Holy was great because of his wars with Bowe.
