I hadn't seen this fight in a while. I just saw it again today. By reading all the comments here you would think he had gotten KTFO. He was dead tired, he had nothing left. I can't believe people say he got KTFO. :patsch. Brewster did land but Klitschko didn't seem that hurt, he was totally exhausted. He seemed to lose his energy from one round to the other drastically.

Something was very odd about Wlad's downfall in that fight. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, and not calling foul play or making excuses for Wlad. He lost fair and square. But it absolutely did look like his energy got completely drained from him and he was left there helpless, then started taking a beating.
That loss crushed his reputation for a while, and was all some people needed to confirm he had a glass jaw after the Corrie Sanders fight. But I honestly think it was more his conditioning and defense, then his chin.

the Sanders Ko was better, hit him with much cleaner punches.
Also lewis's Knockout losses were worse. he was out! and tottering all over the place vs mccall.

Truthfully in none of his losses was he one-punch KTFO.

I've read that he was drugged. I really don't know and I can only go by what I saw, and it looks like from one moment to the other, his energy went from like 50% (random number), to 0%. It was strange.

I'm not sure Wlad's chin is all that bad. I'm not saying it's good. I think it's more mental, he took a left hook early in that fight, it wasn't that big but it was a decent shot that snapped his back. HBO said he was hurt bad by it (specially Lederman), but imo, he wasn't. It's more like he's shocked and panics when he's hit flush and gets his head snapped back. Happened also vs Sanders who did hurt him, but the way he reacts emotionally is what leads him to get KO'd imo.

Brewster and Puritty losses were entirely conditioning related, Sanders was the only fight where he got blown out.

Basically true. Lewis was very much done by one punch by Rahman and was rocking vs mccall

He wasn't drugged. If he was then they would have followed through and collected the samples from the UMC. They were contacted several times and advised of the protocol to obtain these samples but never did and as per protocol the samples were then destroyed after 7-10 days. If they were sure he was drugged then why did they not collect the blood samples? Also why did nothing show up the next day when they paid for Quest labs for independent blood tests?

He came in looking to KO Brewster, fought at too high a work rate and gassed. Just watch the fight, when he wasn't punching, he was moving about, when he wasn't punching or moving about he was manhandling and pushing Brewster. He never took a moment to rest, he was fighting like Frazier in the fight of the century he was expending energy at an alarming rate and paid the price. No 240lbs man can fight at that kind of pace and not gas.

The way in which fatigued in the first fight was incredibly unnatural. He was completely destroying Brewster then he suddenly gets so tired that he can't even keep his arms up. In the end of the 4th round Klitschko and Brewster both fall and Klitschko struggles mightily to even get up. In the 5th round there is just no energy left whatsoever. He is actually taking very good punches from the heavy hitting brewster without going down. Then at the end of the round he collapses again just like in the end of round 4. Never knocked down from punches, he just collapses in his own fatigue. He is so tired that it takes him 15-20 second just to get up. This is the only fight I know which was stopped while the boxer is WALKING TO HIS CORNER DURING THE BREAK without having been knocked down to the canvas even once. After the fight he nearly went into a diabetic coma which is incredibly bizarre because he doesn't have Diabetes or high blood pressure. This strange unbelievable fatigue never happened before or after in his career.

After the fight Klitschko's Lawyer filed a demand for an investigation to the Nevada State District Attorney, the was enough suspension and evidence for it to be picked up. Unfortunately the investigation went nowhere because Wlad's post fight urine sample and water bottle from the fight mysteriously were destroyed. The 12-1 odds for the fight very very suspiciously came down to 4-1 only a few hours before the main event. A lot of late money was pouring in for Brewster. Some people may have had the tipoff what was going to happen. There were persons with motive to have Wlad lose that fight. His former trainer Fritz Sdunek(man who was giving him the water from the missing bottle) wanted Manny Steward out of the picture. With a loss he was sure Wlad would fire Steward. He actually went on German TV and said that Steward was fired... without Wlad's knowledge. Wlad has to make public address that he is still working with Steward. Wlad was very suspicious of a mole in his camp and he made everyone in his camp take a lie detecter test...unsatisfied he got rid of everyone in his training camp(except for Steward). He never works with Sdunek ever again.

With the Brewster victory, Don King regained his monopoly over the HW division(Brewster WBO, Rahman WBC, Ruiz WBA, Byrd IBF). King had a motive and means to have Wlad poisoned(this is a guy who fixed fights, bribed judges anything to further his own interests). I strongly suspect he was poisoned.

He may have got tired, but Brewster landed some huge shots at the end of that 5th round

Dude, quit the drugged conspiracy theory nonsense.

Klitschko still watches teh fight as motivation. He wouldnt watch a fight where he felt he was drugged, repeatedly, to make sure he trained hard.
