The Fact that he froze up against Peter says alot in itself, Tyson in his day was a monster who combined Speed, Power, Skill and agression like never before, Peter is a joke who got raped by a 37 yr old returning after a 4 yr layoff, and Wlad nearly lost to him. Seriously this dude freezzes up against aggresive punchers no matter how old, out of shape or limited they are. So before you call Bruno mentally weak for freazing up against Tyson, keep in mind who Wlad froze up against.

True, but like I said he overcame it. Wlad was at his lowest point career wise with the loss to Sanders, the Brewster fight and then the Williamson fight which he looked bad. A loss to Peter and it would have been over.

That is the difference between Champions and non Champions they can overcome their faults. And it was just not Tyson that Bruno froze up against he was stopped by a few average American Heavyweights at the time.

Serously stop trying to make Peter look better than he is, he can't do a single thing HALF as good as Tyson, Wlad should've be able to dominate & stop him in 7 rds, McCall at his peak is much better than Peter.

Smith and Witherspoon were better than Brewster, Sanders and Purrity. bruno had the misfortune of coming up when there was alot of talent around, Wlad would not have either version of tyson that beat Bruno, and I don't think he would've beat 1991 Lewis either.

try to look at things objectively. i never said he could do anything as well as tyson ("to an extent") but was merely comparing styles. Peter's style gave Wlad trouble and Tyson did some of the same things better.

Fair enough but i'd say he did most if not all things better, nothing against Wlad, but he is no Lewis, he doesn't have the poise that Lennox had, he is a very good fighter in a very bad era of HW boxing.

I agree. I no doubt rate Wlad higher than you do but I rate Lewis ahead of him for two main reasons.

Firstly, Lewis has a more versatile offensive arsenal. More importantly, Lewis had certain intangible advantages like the ability to go to war and be relaxed at all times.

Smith and Witherspoon are on a level with Brewster they were all 3 trinket belt holders in a bad Heavyweight era.

I am not saying Wlad would beat Bruno or that Bruno would beat Wlad. Just that Bruno in his Prime had just as many faults as Klitschko did at his LOWEST point in his career.

Wlad reminds me of Norton, he can any boxer hell, but put him in with an aggresive puncher and he has problems, he's not bad but he is not unbeatable either.

I disagree as Brewster only held WBOGUS and lost to shufford and Etinne. Witherspoon and Smith were nothing special but niether was as limited as Brewster.

If Wlad & Bruno fought the first man to connect with something big would win, neither would be able to take the other guy's punch IMO.

Witherspoon actually had a lot of skills, and I have no doubt he would have been a much better fighter had he not had so many legal battles with Don King. His problems with King did more damage to him than any fighter ever could. A prime Terrible Tim had the skills and punch to beat Wlad. Hell, an out of shape Tim beat Bruno.

With that being said Bruno has a better chin than Wlad, and I think that's what will win the day with a fight with this Klit.

if it goes past 8 rounds i favour wlad but for those first 8 bruno has a real chance he could jab pretty well and wlad would not knock frank out while bruno was moving forward behind his jab and wlad would back up as bruno would throw rights hands too
and we all know if the other fighter comes forward punching wlad shits himself and backs up ****ing quick style but after 8 rounds bruno would be knackered and loose concentration and that would be wlads chance

I don't usually go with an underdog.

But I'd be tempted to stick my neck out here.

Bruno could well scare Wlad in the mid rounds, causing him to panic.
