But is hayes problem not that he is fighting Chisora?

Sign the contract and get on with it. If Wlad doesnt show, have a compo clause or something

    are you WI then???

I think Hatton will be stripped if he loses. Have read an interview where he says I will defend the title then go for the Euro.

I think we see Watson fight his mando the Jennings vs McMillan winner. The Jennings fight would sell in Manchester. Then do the Matt Hatton rematch.

    It's easy to be critical.

He was happy to not fight a Klit if he could make money elsewhere.

He's gone sniffing elsewhere, can't make as much as he thought so he's gone back to K2 with his tail between his legs.

:good exactly. and if he fights say chagaev and only is able to hit say 150-200k ppv sales then there goes 50-50 ( which after Fraudley may just happen )

I would be shocked if a compo package was in place. Kltisckos would be dumb as **** to agree to that....and there smart.

From Hayes POV I fully understand why he wouldn't accept the tune up 8 weeks prior.

    1) Theres a strong chance Wlad gets injured. Haye plans on retiring in October (i think its bull**** but if its not) so if that did happen he would only fight one time before he retires, missing out on a few million quid to add to the retirement fund.

    2) 8 weeks is not an appropriate amount of time to properly promote such a big event.

Basically Haye would be risking allot of $$$ to look like the bigger man.

your right for once mate. Haye cannot afford to go back to the negotiation table with a flop PPV and a 3/4 full 02 arena.

Kris if Haye does sign for the fight will you give him credit?

    1. Fighters often get injured in training anyway. Would Haye fight Wlad after a cut in sparring like he had before the Ruiz fight? Does Chisora really pose much of a threat to Wlad?

    2. It's not 8 weeks promotion. It's as many weeks as there are between the fight being signed and July 2nd. Wlad-Chisora then becomes part of the Wlad-Haye promotion. No disrespect to Dereck but that's how it'd be.

To be fair aswell, the fight doesn't need that much promotion, its been building up for ages.

The promotion begins as soon as it's announced.

Everytime somebody mentions Wlad-Chisora they talk about Wlad-Haye.

When Klit blasts Chisora people will be booking the Haye PPV that night. It's perfect.

8 weeks is more than enough.

you two are Hardcore boxing fans. Not the general public. notice I said the "event" needs to be promoted not a fight. Because this will be an event in the UK, Germany and the rest of the world. For the event to be a success, and that mean a million PPV's in Britain, 15million viewers in Germany, 3million viewers on HBO and 60,000in a stadium in needs to be promoted to the general public.

It will be HBO in the US, which means they will want a press confrence. Press confrence in Germany and in the UK. When do these take place at 8 weeks notice??

I doubt either man would take the fight without being in top condition. I think they would fight lesser fights (Ruiz/Chisora) with minor injuries or poor build up.

they will still need a press tour UK-US-Germany. Both men normally have 10 week training camps....it just to good to be true.

I reckon 8 weeks would be plenty of time for that to happen for a fight of this size.

When would they hold the press tour?
