Does Holmes have the power to hurt Wlad, and take him out of his comfort zone? I'm saying yes so I think we'd see quite a negative performance from Wlad and Holmes should take a decision win.

Come on, Wlad fought scared against Sultan Ibragimov...he'd really struggle with the speed, jab and aggression of Holmes.

How does Wlad edge it due to styles? Holmes was a very versatile Heavyweight and only advantage for Wlad is his power. Holmes chin aint nothing to shrug off either.

I can just imagine Manny Steward going mental at Wlad in this fight:

Round 1: ''Remember, keep him on the end of your jab and line him up for the big right hand. Tie him up on the inside. Let's do this''

Round 6: ''You're throwing away the fight Wlad. He's winning the fight on aggression. Even though he's not landing that much, he's still forcing the issue and you're not doing anything but defending''.

Round 12: ''You've got to go for the knockout Wlad. It's your only chance.''

    Holmes UD12 Wlad

Post fight interview: ''This is exactly what I thought would happen.''

Holmes would easily slip Wlads jab while being able to land his own excellent jab at will , Larry had a great uppercut as well as a straight right hand and would be too fast for either Klit .

when people talk about iron chins they tend to overlook Holmes - ernie shavers detonated a monster right hand on his chin and Holmes was out before he hit the deck but still got up around the count of 6 - Holmes powers of recovery were even better than a prime Holyfield and thats saying something.

Wlad eats a lot of jabs en route to a late TKO

Wlad has too much KO power for Holmes. Late tko.

I think Holmes would have his share of problems but wins in the latter rounds. More dimensions to his game, better variety of shots, reacts better when hit, etc..

I could definitely see a fight like Weaver 1 or Snipes when Holmes is hurt or dropped from a right hand (great punch from Wlad) and then survives and rallies.

I think Wlad gets one of his late (T)KOs from just battering the smaller Holmes. Holmes isn't that explosive type of fighter who'll get in there and hurt Wlad

Holmes is better than Wlad in every department besides power. Better jab, footwork, combinations, speed, defense, adaptability, will. All Wlad has over him is power but that's not gonna matter cause Holmes is way more resilient and has a far better chin, more heart and more will to win. Holmes would make it a dog fight and beat the **** out Wlad

Waldimir by decision. Can't see him knocking Larry out though. Larry was more a boxer never known for the big punch, a jab and move type unless fighting a smaller opponent like Leon Spinks or Marvis Frazier. Waldimir is by far the bigger puncher and the bigger man, and frankly I believe Waldimir's boxing skills are about the same as Holmes. Holmes was not the type of puncher Corrie Sanders was. I admit I dislike Holmes but I am trying to be objective here and not taking personalities into consideration.

For holmes this fight would of put him in the likes of brewster an sultan, that is just an over-rated fighter in a weak era..

No way does holmes jab beat wlads, the power in the jab of wlads keeps fighters from doing anything but trying go the distance, it kept stopping peters in the first fight dead in his tracks, holmes would actually get a lession in what a COMPLETE jab is.:good

Yes, Larry was comparable to Sam Peter :nut

WALDO doesn't have a complete jab, he has a good jab. Holmes has an awesome jab and the tools to use it against a chinny distance fighter like WALDO. Larry wasn't one dimensional like WALDO either and could take a hell of a punch.

Waste of time pointing it out to the likes of you though, you just check the height on boxrec and claim victory :nut

Quite a bold statement there. Holmes may have THE all time great jab, but Wlad's is generally considered to be top 5 and sometimes top 3. Claiming Holmes slips his jab 'easily' and lands his own 'at will' is quite a big statement to make

Holmes did have a great chin though
