Hopefully CHEF will post in this thread and let us know whether Waldimir will be fighting Oquendo or not.

It's difficult to believe, but it's not impossible because of Oquendo's high WBA ranking and because he's a well-known heavyweight.

Only fights I'd personaly like to see WK in before he hangs 'em up would be Vs. Arreola & Povetkin.

On most of those questionable decisions, I would say that the judges were just making "corrections" for the referee turning blind eye on Oquendo rabbit punching ;-) And he was lucky to meet many great (and good) fighters on decline - like Byrd, Toney or Holy. I agree he would be decent opponent 10 years ago, but now I can't imagine why should he is getting another chance.

 

Wlad is a ****ing joke, he is the CHAMP and its not like he have something to prove.
So someone tell me why he got stay busy fights with straight out BUMS?

 

Not a great defense at all by Wlad, which unfortunately, is becoming common for the champ. Oquendo is a better match up than Mormeck and on par with Thompson and Wach but none of the defenses have had any appeal. Like those other fights Oquendo has almost no chance.

If this fight does happen than thats a good thing for Oquendo. He's been around a while and been on the wrong end of some bad decisions and he'd probably make a nice payday here.

With Wlad-Povetkin being pushed back until summer I wonder if Povetkin sits until then or if he takes a fight in the meantime.
