Wlad vs. Oquendo on April 6?

How many belt holders and unification fights do you reckon Wlad has taken on?

 

That isn't a good reason though. It's a shite reason.

It's a shite champ shitting on his shite fans with shite fights against shite opponents. If he isn't gonna fight the best he might as well give his belts up and stop claiming to be a champion.

His fans moaned for ages saying noone wants the fight and he's just keeping busy, I could buy into that because a year ago noone was calling him out but now fury and helenius are asking for the fight. Povetkin and Pulev are negotiating mandatory positions and Haye is chasing big bro. He has a chance to further his legacy by cleaning out his division and instead he tosses between solis and oquendo?

As I said, shite.

 

If he chooses not to fight Oquendo, it's a blatant duck if you ask me. Boxing scholars will question Wlad's title reign when he retires if he doesn't man up to the task at hand.

"What if Wlad hadn't shamefully ducked Oquendo?"
"What if David Haye hadn't been injured?"
"What if Solis wasn't a fat ****?"

 

you either agree fury is a better fight than oquendo or you dont.

 

If Wlad fights Oquendo, he will go down with Mormeck as the worst opponents of his second title reign.

 

Besides. Oquendo is looking pretty ripped, I smell upset.

I'm not fussed about Vitali, he's ancient and has paid his dues. He concedes wlad is the true champion and isn't trying to steal his thunder. He can have a 7 fight series with Toney for all I care.

But Wlad is supposed to be the hw champ. Upto and including the haye fight he did the best he could in the division he had.

Mormeck was an easy stay busy fight after a huge unification so I can live with it, Thompson was a mando so I can live with it. But Wach and Oquendo back to back when he has challengers queuing up to face him is shite.

This is afterall a boxing forum and shite like this should be criticised imo.

 

OK, stay busy fight I can live with. But why the **** wasn't Thompson II your stay busy fight AND mandatory? Two birds with one stone.

I actually think Wach does more to diversify Wladimir's resume for his legacy than Thompson or Mormeck does. (Wach brings someone taller and undefeated... Thompson brings a replay of one sided KO, don't care if TT won two rounds in their first it was one sided, and Mormeck brings absolutely nothing.)

Along with Rahman, he literally is on a streak of his 3 worst opponents during his reign, all consecutively, and about to get his 4th and maybe even the worst of the whole bunch with Oquendo.

 

I could be wrong but I'm sure the delay with Thompson was that he was supposed to fight chambers first but Eddie pulled out with a bad back. I mean everyone has a gimme fight and jmm was a former undisputed champ so it wasn't the world's worst fight but Wlad should now be fighting deserving challengers eager for the shot.

I don't rate Wach at all. Never even seen a top 10 ranking. It was a bad joke as is this.

The run atm is appalling.

Jmm-Thompson-Wach-Oquendo.

No hw champ in the past has has such a bad run.

I hope this fight doesn't happen. Mormeck was worse, but still. Solis was fine with me, but not Oquendo.

I read constantly that no one cares about the division or what the champion or its top contenders do. Yet we get ten pages of indignant bitching for the mere mention of the champ fighting a shitty challenger in a short period of time. :think CHEF, what do you think? Do people not care at all?
