It'll be a typical Wladimir Klitschko dominant performance with a TKO win.

We are talking about a fighter in Klithcko that got knocked down and was looking for the exit against TOS. His narrow escape with a win should have any decent heavyweight looking to get him n the ring. Sure Klithcko has the experence and skills but he also has some pretty big holes in his game. His defence consists of holding or falling straight back. He can be had. I like the kids chances better than Austin or Brock but with 17 pro fights he lacks the experence. On the upside unlike Klithcko he has not learned how to loose. All he needs to do is just get in there and bring it. With Wlads durability a few good shots could end it. I expect a very confident Povetkin come fight time.

Good stuff. I still think Klitschko wins, but I'm hoping Povetkin comes out of his shell and gives Wlad a run for his money.

Seems Povetkin is very lowly regarded in this board.

I like what I saw in him against Byrd, he was punching non stop and eventually made Byrd quit. He is decently sized and young.

I think he will present Wlad some good challenge.

Byrd's father threw in the towel saying he never saw his son get beat so bad. In fight with Chambers, Povetkin was recovering from the flu and for fans who think Chambers won that fight count how many body shots Chambers took. Povetkin clearly won.
Having said all that I'll bet my house Wlad wins by easy KO

initially, i felt this would be a pretty tough fight for wlad.

however, i've been watching a lot of povetkin lately. The more I watch, the less competitive i see it being. Povetkin just has too many defensive liabilities for Wlad, who is too experienced not to take advantage. eg) lack of lateral movement, keeps his guard low at high chest level, a bit plodding, doesn't give a lot of angles.

Meanwhile, Povetkin's lack of experince against a tall fighter with a quality jab has me thinking he will be confused on how to handle it.

IMO, the brewster 2 gameplan is the perfect gameplan for wlad. 50-60 jabs per round against a straight ahead come-forward fighter. If Wlad just stays busy with the left jab, imo there is nothing povetkin can do.

Nothing i've seen from Povetkin has shown he can avoid it or negate the jab. Chambers couldn't miss with it the first 5 rounds.

The real problem for povetkin is the range issue. Can he get inside cause he throws very nice inside combinations? I say no. He will not be prepared for the clinching and leaning. Another factor that often gets overlooked with Wlad are his feet. His movement really negates his opponents offense. Povetkin didn't have to deal with any of that against Donald, Byrd or Chambers who looked like he was buried in cement :yep

I don't see how anyone could pick Povetkin to win or favor him. Only chance he has imo is if Wlad comes in too passive and doesn't let his jab go enough. Povetkin will still have to take huge right hands and hope his chin/face holds up. Then, Wlad has to have another panic attack and tip over. Povetkin doesn't have the 1 punch power to hurt wlad. He has to land combinations and wlad has become very proficient at avoiding follow up punches. He knows how to spoil a fighter's offense like Hopkins or Calzaghe.

Povetkin's swelling might become a factor. I think his chin is at least decent. Hasn't been dropped or badly rocked. However, Chambers knokced him backwards on at least 3 occasions with the right hand. Not a great sign. Wasn't hurt but a bit stunned. I don't think this will be a ray austin situation but it could become quite one-sided.

i was going with a tko9 earlier and it still may last that long due to povetkin's toughness and heart but it's gonna be a little more one-sided imo.

Ur letting ur dislike for the klitschkos block your better judgement.

What makes u think he can avoid the jab? Seriously though, Chambers had him eating leather with his jab at will. Byrd even landed it when he threw the damn thing. One thing wlad does not hesitate with is the jab.

Do u see head movement? I mean Povetkin just has no defense. In fact, his offense is his defense which is similar to how Peter fights. Povetkin is far busier which helps but hasn't faced the klitschkos to really make him pay. Chambers exposed his defensive weaknesses clearly. If people want to claim he was sick, etc....that's there prerogative, but i see some of the same things against byrd and donald. they just couldn't make him pay.

And how is Povetkin gonna deal with the clinching and foot movement? Povetkin is limited at range.

Povetkin better come in the best shape of his life and add some movement to his game or he is gonna get obliterated.

I reckon u will be calling Suge's show dec 14, once again bitterly disappointed after another klitschko win :yep

don't lose hope though, david haye is here to save the day and rid us of the Frankenstein brothers!!!

Bad style match up for Povetkin. He either gets KOed proper or loses on a cuts stoppage his skin is worse than Wlad's.
