Surely this fight can't still be on. It's only 2 weeks away, yet Dino and Derrick had convinced me that Wlad was going to pull out and duck Povetkin, because he lost the purse bid.

Sometimes I have a feeling that they're paid for what they're doing on ESB.

I was banned for making a thread calling Derrick out on his anti-Pulev BS(after Pulev schooled Thompson) he's definitely friends with the admins that's for sure... My thread was non-hostile, I simply called Derrick out on the BS he had been spouting for months and was banned as result :patsch

I agree with all of your points but the location of the fight may actually force Wlad to fight with more urgency than he normally would and possibly give Povetkin more opportunities to counter than usual.
Also, the Wawrzyk fight looked more like a sparring session so I wouldn't read too much into that fight. Povetkin hasn't displayed much head movement recently but I assure you that he will against Wlad.

Has Clinchko ever thrown a left hook to the body ? or an uppercut in a fight ? BORING.

TONS of clinching will happen by CLINCHKO and a some straight rights. Clinchko by ko once he feels absolutely safe to throw.... round 7 or 8 .

Man..i miss the heavys of the 80s/90/s....

It's a big fight in terms of event and credible opponent but it won't be competitive. Same as the Haye fight but Povetkin goes out on his back

Incredible how little hype there is about this. These two are ****ing atrocious at marketing, hype generation and entertainment value outside the ring.

Wlad looks a bit thinner than in his last few fights, looks like he's taking Povetkin more seriously than Wach, Pianeta and TT

Has nothing to do with taking Povetkin more seriously than others. The three fighters you mention are all big guys, 6'5+ and 245+. Wlad typically comes in a few pounds heavier for those guys, for smaller guys like Povetkin, Haye, Ibragimov that are 6'2-6'4 and 220-235ish....he will show up slightly thinner to maximize his speed for those guys.

Thought that povetkin somehow would find a way out of the fight.....but he's still there. Could he be a threat, feel a little bit nervous cause the fight is in Russia....
