The same thing I thought when Wlad landed some rights on Thompson and he went nowhere. Wlad will just break him down some more and land a right which will knock him out. Wlad is a very patient fighter. Wlad really has the mentality of a slick boxer; his use of lateral movement and his pawing and sometimes punishing jab remind me of Ali. He also uses the clinch much like the great one but he also has devastating power in his right hand. And NO he wouldn't beat Ali but there are stylistic similarities.
I see Wlad going into panic mode when Povetkin continues throwing 80+ punches per round late in the fight though (given it goes to the late rounds)
Povetkin will be the most skilled fighter Wlad ever faced in his career - and that career does include three losses. So, heck yeah, Povetkin has a chance.
