Is this Wlad's best option for his next defense late in the year? Non-competitive but Tarver is a name, can talk, looks decent at 200 and this would land on US tv. Most importanly, he seems willing unlike the rest. Povetkin and Helenius are part of the Sauerland mafioso and will never fight Wlad in his current form. Arreola is an overrated punching bag being spoonfed cans until he gets exposed again next year. After that, there is nothing interesting as this fight for at least the remainder of the year. What's a better option for Wlad next considering the above? :blood
Yeah, as if Tarver has more HW power than byrd and Iggy. Fight wouldnt happen becuz Tarver is already very rich, so the $$$ to fight Wlad, maybe 2 mil, wouldn't be enough for him to commit career suicide. Remeber, Tarver is back in action becuz he wants to fight and believes he can still be relevant. He fought once @ HW, a 10 rdr vs Aguilera. Did anyone see him try to make a fight with a Class B fighter for the spring, or even another class C? No, he didn't. You know why......becuz unlike Adamek and Haye, Tarver knows his limitations, and knows where his best opportunities lie. If Tarver wanted Wlad or Vitali, he'd do more than talk, he'd make calls, write letters and make utube vids. But all he's done is say on showtime that he could beat a Klit. Never having called them out, or attempted to get a fight with them. No......I think he's quite happy to fight once or twice a year against Cclass HW's or Bclass Cruisers, and in doing so, he'll still make a little loot, keep his name out there and continue fighting w/o risking his health. BTW.....I think Tarver can unify at cruiser and possibly become undisputed. His presence at the CW level really brings a bit of excitement to that division. And b4 anyone talks about paydays, as if Antonio was looking for one, think about BHOP. Both hate each other, and both want each other, and both brings millions to the fight. Maybe as much as 5 mil each. Much much more than a Wlad/Tarver beatdown would draw.
