Actually I'd like to see the "huggy bear" version of Wlad against Vitali. It would be interesting to see how Vitali would deal with that. It would also be interesting to see how Wlad would deal with somebody who controls distance as well as big bro.

Prime Wlad would win decision, not a chance he'd KO Vitali. Vitali has never been knocked down in his career, the dude has the best iron chin in history.

If Vitali had any chance to winning, probably a KO on Wlad

This is the only version that beats Vits. Boring or not its Wlad at his best. I was a big fan of pre Steward Wlad, but that version isnt tough enough to get a victory and would be stopped. Vits is a tough customer, but that jab will eat him up in my opinion. It would be interesting to see how the two scenario's you outlined played out. I love debating fantasy fights but at the end of the day its all pretty much unprovable opinion.

Best iron chin = Chuvalo, puh-lease.

22 years, never down. Against the best HW's the sport has to offer.

Not against most of the tin cans Vitali faced.

But he DOES have an iron mandible, one of the best. But not the best, far from it.

Except 2003-04 Vitali was stronger than Wlad has ever been, Wlad would've been the one who gets exhausted after all the wrestling andgets sttopped.

That is debatable. Vits was sucking all sorts of wind vs Lewis. I have to think Wlad is as or nearly as strong as Lewis.

    Closeish fight.

Wlad does have the power to KO vitali, don't know how anyone can say different. Imagine vitali doing one of his lean backs and Wlads huge left hook follows him. Bang! Out cold.
However it's Wlads poor punch resistance and stamina that decides it, vitali grinds him down to a 8th round KO.

People need to stop comparing 260lb lewis to prime lewis, lennox was still highly dangerous but a slower and flat-footed version of himself when he fought vittles.
Wlad would have been much harder to hit than old lewis who showed a granite jaw himself in that fight!

Amazing Chuvalo managed to maintain such a high standard of chinsmanship after all that maple syrup guzzling :think One of the true outliers in the history of Canadian boxing :nod

    Vitali all day.

I would favour Vitali over Wladimir even now...

Lennox was a little past it and out of shape but his power was still there. If Vitali took those uppercuts very well with one blind eye, he could definetly take everything Wlad has to offer. Remember Mariusz Wach fight.

So you would favor a guy who lost in his prime to end of the road Lewis, who has been out of the ring nearly 3 years over the current heavyweight champion of the world and ATG? You people are something!! Lmao!

Vitali wasn't prime vs Lewis, and I don't see him as a loser in the fight vs Lewis (let the TKO6 comments coming). Vitali already retired for 4 years and beat the sh.t out of Peter. If he can train for 6 months properly, I give him a very good shot to beat Wladimir. Vitali has the best style to beat his baby brother and I can see him stop Wladimir around rd 8.

except in kliturd land of course, when being late 30s beating up bums means u r prime.

but I agree vits prime wipes out wlad fast.

Chavalo was in fact down vs Bonevena. The ref clearly blew the call.

Chavalo was durable and tough, but did not last long vs Foreman or Frazier.

Vitali was never down, and took the best Lewis, Sanders, and Hide had to offer...flush power shots.

Like I said, you guy are something else! More than 30 pro fight and 32 years old with no wear and tear from any wars isnt prime? Lmao!!! Oh, and he certainly lost to Lewis and I'd bet if he tried to come back today he'd lose to lil bro.
