End the controversy; Wlad has spoken. Does Arreola have the balls?

IBF/WBO/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko will fight on June 20th at the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. While various heavyweight contenders hope to step in to replace Davis Haye, Wlad has already made it clear that he wants Chris Arreola. “If the fight against David Haye doesn’t take place, I’ll fight against Chris Arreola,” Wlad said on the Alexey Potapov Boxing Diary published on the Russian site Sports.ru.

I would love to see the fight. I think Arreola should take him up on his challenge.

His promoter says the fight wont happen though. The topic is around here some where. Arreolas promoter offered James Toney instead.

Nah, Arreola needs about five or six months to lose weight first. Then, he'll need another five or six years to learn how to box.

I have a feeling that Chris has not been staying in shape, and he's not ready to fight.

Promoters do what boxers tell them Wlad has spoken; we need to hear from Arreola.

It's a win-win for Arreola. He wins, it's a huge upset. He loses, it's because he took the fight on short notice. As long as he puts up a decent showing - it's great for his career. Take it.

Hasn't Goosen already said Arreola can't get in shape that fast? He would be at enough of a disadvantage in this fight without short preparation.

So Areola gets two weeks to prepare? That seems far to me.

Goosen is willing to use the old warhorse, the 5 foot 10, 41 year old, no power, James Toney, as his sacrificial lamb, but he won't risk blemishing the unbeaten record of his *promising, young contender* who's supposed to be such a KO artist, Arreola.
