Wlad was in talks to fight Dubois

DuBois has shown nothing to reasonably say he’s better than Haye, Povetkin, Ibragimov, hell, even Sam Peter….

@MaccaveliMacc if he beats Parker now as well he will have proven that he might be the best of everyone else who isn’t the best of the division (Usyk, Fury) I suppose. Not quite sure why that has him beating an ATG champion in hypotheticals, but here we are (I know you are not one of the people suggesting this Mac)

 

I don’t think he can win at this point in his career. Honestly that Joshua fight raised my opinion of him. Let’s keep it that way.

 

I think there would’ve been a legit shot for Wlad to break the record here. IF Wlad comes back and hires a better coach than Banks. And IF Wlad is 70% of what he was when he fought Prime Joshua and still has most of his power… He KO’s Dubois in 5 rounds.

It’s crazy how overrated dubois has gotten on here. He KOed a now shot Joshua who’s confidence and psyche was damaged badly by Usyk. I mean we saw the guy have a nervous breakdown post fight after Usyk battered him! This much is obvious.

Don’t get me wrong dubois is a good fighter. Strong puncher. But let’s not get things twisted, he’s far from this unstoppable wrecking machine that some members on here try and make him out to be.

70% Wlad with a good camp, good quality sparring with elite level guys and with Freddie Roach (They’ve worked together and got along) KO’s dubois in 5.

 

What a terrible idea that would've been. Seems like there's a rumour of a Wlad comeback damn near every year though lol

 

AJ wasn't shot, he was looking better than ever in camp. Smakici sparred him before the Usyk rematch and said that he wasn't impressed at all. Then he sparred him again before the Wallin fight and he said that AJ was a completely different animal. Much improved. He also looked phenomenal in that fight.

Dubois was the first relentless, young and hungry puncher that AJ had fought in forever. Didn't have to do with AJ being shot, it had to do with him encountering someone with a mix of attributes that he hadn't encountered in his entire pro career.

It all depends what wlad has left. Let's be honest, dubois is a heavy puncher with a questionable mentality and not the best fundamentals. This would be a disaster against even the wlad from the joshua fight. Wlad has a top 3 atg jab and people forget here how he could keep opponents at bay and hurt them with his jab and take away there confidence.

And dubois is prone to quit when it gets really tough for him. Wlads right and left is on a different level to everyone else right now.

I think some of you are too young or forget this:

Top 3 jab of all time in every weight class
Top 3 power puncher of all time at heavy with his right and left.
And a dirty smothering mf with all the old school tricks up the bag

Wlad was and probably is a nightmare for almost everyone who is not usyk and fury
