Wlad: Weak Heart/Weak Mentality

I think he has heart. It's just that he has brains too. His brain tells him not to take risks in fights and he really hasn't had to in several years. I think he showed heart a few times especially when repeatedly trying to get up after being decimated by sanders. even when his body gave out vs brewster for whatever reason, he still took the heavy shots by brewster for a good while (he didn't look for a place to hide immediately when he was done if memory serves). all that said, his cautiousness hurts his legacy imo

 

David Haye talked lightyears more shite than Klitchko did going into the fight.And for a long time.In fact,the only reason Haye got the fight is because of his ****-talking.You're normally a decent poster.I'm surprised that you typed what you did.

 

i man who gets knocked out in the manner he did.then to make a come back and get knocked out again to then go and dominate the division in the manner he does today..i dont call that lack of heart i call that all heart..

 

if boxing is indeed you life then how the **** can you not tell the difference between a fighter who just likes to use his skills in the ring instead of running around it tryin to knock someones head off??i certainly can so surly if boxing is indeed your life then you would know this...the man is a fighter..he just fights differently..some box.some slug..if you prefer to slug or watch sluggers thats great but do not say just because someone likes to box and think in the ring means hes not a fighter it makes you look foolish in fact it makes you look really foolish..

Wladimir did his job. He was controlling the fight easily on points and outboxing Haye. Its not Wladimir's fault that his opponent was so defensive minded.

If you win comfortable on points, you dont go for a KO, because this is always risky.

If you are far behind on points, the only thing you can do is to go for a KO (Haye didnt try to go for a KO).

 

No he has shown mental fortitude and heart to rebuild his career after 3 devastating losses. Vitali wanted him to quit but Wlad has done what few fighters ever do and reinvented himself minimised his weaknesses and become a better fighter.

Weak chin yes, boring yes but I would never doubt his heart and desire. He may not be a natural fighter like Vitali but he is clearly a very determined individual.

 

Hard to question a man's heart after he was knocked out and humiliated three time and came back better and stronger. Wlad's determination and focus is an inspiration.

Yep some times they **** up and put something called a boxer in the ring, who don't check his chin six times a round.
How boring.

Cheaters one and all that's all Boxers are....like Ali who was safty first most of the time. Terrel or Machen...just lousy 'boxers'... Holms too wasting everyone's time with his sissy jab.

Willi Pep, Bones Brown, Curtis Cokes, some folks named Mayweather, all boring....not trying to destroy anyone in every round.

Can you tell me why Thunder Boxing of a decade ago, did not go over with it's rules that penalized purer boxers and gave plus points to brawling sluggers?

It's really a cheat Lacy got some running 'boxer' named Cal something or another running around instead of standing there hooking to check a jaw.

Mexican and Argintina Fighting is just up your alley. They seldom out side of some runner named Monzone, have to worry about :roflBoxing, they are into two handed hooking chin check destroy the man.



I liked Wlads excuse for the Sanders fight. "I was arrogant. I won't be arrogant again."

There is some wisdom, if you don't try for a KO, it can happen...if you try and force a KO often it won't.
Part of that is coordination and speed, are power.
Loading up, costs speed, and speed is the key to power.

 

Well considering the fact that he came back from two devestating knockout losses, after which everybody even his own brother had written him off, adn then went on to become virtually the undisputed hevyweight champion of the world tells you all you need to know about Wladimir's mentality. And if you question his heart, just take look a the first Peter fight. He took on the biggest puncher in the division in only his third comeback fight, got off the canvas three times and went on to outpoint Peter and hurt him badly in the 12th round.

Id like to see some good reasons that those 11 people that voted yes coudl give for questioning his heart? Or is it just internet warriors that are voting yes?:think

 

Weak mentally boxer's don't hold 3 world titles. Wlads a perfect gentlemen and a proper professional, others should follow his example.......

 

Blatant hater. Brewster knocked the **** outta Golota but he couldn't even knock down Wlad while he clearly had something wrong with him. Suck on that...................
