Vlad has to fight Povetkin next, then winner of Dimitrenko/Chambers fight. Vitali might fight Haye. Just hope that Haye does not back out of fight again.

Have you been at the sauce mate? Haye versus Chagaev?

Seriously, both Klitschkos are the top 2 in the Heavyweight division. The WBA belt means nothing. None of the challengers seem worthy, they really stand out from a weak pack. If the IBF decide not to play ball then they will strip Wlad. I doubt the WBO would as he is demands big sanction fees. The IBF stripped Hatton, so they are prepared to strip anyone.

I'd rather watch a Vitali fight than Wladimir.

I think they took the pragmatic view that Wlad and Vit will never fight each other and neither is going to get beat anytime soon so 1 vs 3 is as good a "title" fight as they are going to get in the near future.

Ring titles are supposed to be about the best fighting the best. If the title is vacant and that doesn't happen, then the title stays vacant.

Throwing the title at a lesser fight because the best fighters ain't going to fight is a poor precedent. Not least because it was done without reference to The Ring's own rankings panel and after lobbying by the Klitschko camp. Presumably, if the rankings panel had thought that Chagaev was worthy of being involved in a fight for the title they would have elevated him into the top two.

Haye should be smart and fight someone in 4 weeks then make the fight with Wlad in September or something.

Surely Chagaev and Wlad can't make up 66% of the heavyweight champs in the world. Wlad jabs and right hands. He paws with the jab and overshoots the right hand. He doesn't go for the kill. No uppercuts or hooks of note. Absolutely no body shots. Barely any combinations.

Wlad is talented but how can I show a mainstream fan Wlad and say that is the best heavyweight in the world. He makes boxing look so basic.

Chagaev didn't even try and go for the kill. He was stationary when moving his head. How was he ever going to close the distance without using his feet. At least try and throw some haymakers in hope that you can land big.

Chagaev v Wlad was poor quality boxing and boring.

Wlad does have good footwork and a good jab but it's how he uses his talents and skills that is questionable.

Wlad had a reasonably flatfooted target. Wlad didn't go through the gears to really put on a show. Same thing happened with Ibrag. Wlad can beat most with his approach but I look forward to the guy who will really push him. Chag never wanted to genuinely be the champ other than in 2 or 3 bursts.

Wlads boxing is boring and basic. That can't be the best heavyweight in the world. Wlad has much more in him, he just repeatedly chooses not to show it.

Vlad looks good against his opponents because he is so much better. I hope Vitali knocks Haye out is Sept. if Haye does not back out of fight, after that fight Haye will retire.

I look fwd to him being pushed and tested too but who realistically can?

I really cant see Haye getting past the jab.
